Kind of surprised with this. Comparing 4th gear runs, max stock is 190.81 hp. With the full Akrapovic system, Sprint filter and the map flashed by a dealer, the 4th gear run was 183.06 hp. The low end between 3k and 7k was MUCH improved but, that top end loss....

This was done on Jaret Campisi's YouTube video which is linked below. Not a plug but some of the comments about tire scrub on the dyno make me wonder. Also consider that he turned every aid (DTC et al) off. I wonder if that messed with the run.

So in stock form the bike put down 183hp and after the akra full exhaust, flash and filter it put down 190hp! Oddly though in 4th gear it put down 179hp stock and 166hp after the upgrades so I'm not sure what is going on there. Regardless it fixed the flat spots in the gears and still picked up 25 hp in the mid range of 4th gear so thats a very good thing. Don't forget we will be giving this bike away when its done.

OP you've got your numbers mixed up.

Not according to the video.

The stock 190 ish is consistent with drive line losses for a 208 hp crank figure.

The Akrapovic results are something else...

No I didn’t according to the video.

The stock 190 ish is consistent with drive line losses for a 208 hp crank figure.

The pulls in your picture and numbers you mentioned are from 5th gear. The red lines are post exhaust/flash/filter/etc. The bike gained power basically everywhere in 5th. 4th is the gear where it was making weird power for some reason. The quote I posted is pinned on the video.

Anyway, i'm pretty sure Ducati's dyno procedure requires disconnecting the rear speed sensor. His weird 4th gear may come down to just not following the instructions.

Edit: This is what 4th looked like. Red lines are stock. Blue lines are after.

Ah sorry.

179 hp to 167 hp isn't something I'd expect to see.

Aren't dyno runs done from 4th gear? In another video they mention the difference between 4th and 5th gear runs. It was the video for the stock run.

Do you have any reference for Ducati's dyno procedure? When I had my 1199 run the results were consistent with what I expected for a stock bike. I never had it run again with the Tuneboy and Akrapovic exhaust.

The race kit ECU is torque limited in 1-4th to make it easier to track ride . Less wheelie control needed gives epic drive out of corners. Ducati focused the kit on making this bike haul ... on the track. That's what the kit was designed for. The 5th gear dyno run was 190.8 hp , almost 8 more than stock. That's almost 224 rwhp.
Recall Ducati torque limited the Panigale in the lower gears for 2020. Those changes transformed the bike from no fun, hard to ride to all reviewers lauding the ease of riding the 2020 Panigale fast at the track.
Here's a quote from a recent Mat Oxley interview of KTM MotoGp engine designer Kurt Trieb: " In MotoGP the acceleration limit until you reach fifth and sixth gears is grip and wheelie, not horsepower". ie they have to cut power in 1-4th gears or the bikes spin and/or wheelie , essentially impeding drive
