Pretty funny that their using the 17 RSV4 vs the 1299S. 1299S has been out for awhile. Try it next year with the Stradale.

You do realize that the RSV4 has been out for a while with minor tweaks over the years. When/If Aprilia decides to overhaul the RSV4, I am sure it will give the next Ducati a run for its money. The big downside to the RSV4 is weight, if Aprilia can figure out how to shave 30-40lbs off the bike, it would be game over.

I am pretty sure we have had back and forth on the RSV4 vs the 1299 before and many Ducati folks take it personal when another bike gets a better rating. My 17 RSV4 is a better bike mechanically than my 1299s and reviewers are coming to the same conclusion. If I could do it all over again, I would still buy the 1299s because it provides an experience that no other bike I have owned provides.

17 RSV4 has a lot of upgrades and it's still fat. They'll never be able to shave 30-40 lbs off it. Otherwise they would have already started. Keeps going up

Check out the build EDR just finished for a client.

They also said it will cost about $45,000-50,000 to do the build (without bike. With bike 70ish)...

I think I would just get a 1299 SL with Warranty.

Funny that both bikes are 2017 models? Hilarious...so why wouldn't there be a comparison? Can't compare a 2017 to a 2018 bike that doesn't exist to be tested. I'm sure they will compare it next year like every other year with another shootout...

Yeah... for that kind of money you could get a Aprilia Factory superstock build for much less. I would go that route before paying $70k. .... might as well just pay $104k and get the real RSV4-FW superbike from Aprilia.

At 70k I'm taking the BMW. I'm not sure I would say it's a "deal", but it has some serious components on it for what it costs if you sit back and think about it. Even Endo may agree with that.

Yea that BMW looks all business...I'd take it for sure.
