What about rearsets?
I want to go with some fixed-peg aftermarket rearsets, but don't want to drop $1,300 or some .... like that on them. Will the aftermarket ones (Driven, Woodcraft, etc) from the 1199 work on the 1299?
And will the clutchless up/downshift still work?
What about setting the bike up for GP shift? I assume the sensor will need to be swapped?
I had been led to believe that the diameter of the piping was different and that they had changed a couple of the bends in the 1199 Aka. If you are correct, we can all save about $1,500 by going with the non-Ducati Akra. They want $5,000, plus tax and I am not paying that on general principle.2 things I want to point out so hope this helps.
I bought a 2015 1299 Panigale S.
The full Akro race exhaust system from 1199 does fit on the 1299. Melillimoto installed mine.
I ordered Woodcraft rear sets. The right side (brake side) fits, no problem. The left side (shift side) does NOT fit. There is a screw that sticks up vertical on the back side of the frame spar. This area was thickened/gusseted on the 1299 so the Woodcraft won't fit up. Eric Wood will simply need to modify it.
So, it was some good news and some bad news. But, Eric will fix it.
Love to get confirmation if my slip ons will fit 1299 from 1199
