After again removing the second set of troublesome V4 R&G pads, today I finally made some time to install Ducati its own:

Ducati makes clear tank pads for the V4. That's what I use. They fit perfectly and are shaped for the V4's profile. Motocorsa installed them for me so they give me a 2 year warranty. If they start to come off or look like crap, they will replace them free of charge.
