Termi Slip-ons - Install

Mmmh, seems that the Ducati website isn't claiming any power increase for the slips anymore? Pretty sure it was -2kg +5% previously.

Did you dyno your Tricolore with slip-ons? All I want to know is if there was a power increase. The dealer tells me there was no peak power difference, just a stronger midrange and a slight drop in weight.

I never cared for sheets during break in, but my dealer told me the same. Same peak hp (I have a full system), but a solid 10+hp from 4-7k rpm. I'm happy with that, as it is real world usable power.

I know, I agree with you. But like I said. Thats what they are telling me, I know that the only way to find the truth is to talk to someone who has them or knows a little more about them and not just one source of information. The other dealer said the same as well, about a 5% increase in power with slip-ons previously and 10-15% from a full system. However the dealer that told me that the slip-ons gain no power increase in the peak area, just the midrange has said that information came straight from his sources to Ducati and that the 1199 equipment is different than on the previous models. Like I said, idk if this is true or not. I've seen a youtube video of a tricolore with slip-ons claiming 186 rwhp, but they didnt physically put the results on video, just put it in the description. (Hopefully the guy isn't lying) I'm looking for more information about both the slip-ons and the full system specifically for the 1199. Any help would be great. I think I would rather spend $1600 on some slip-ons if they had that kind of power gain than buy a full system off the bat.

Have you thrown it on a Dyno to see the results to confirm the difference? I'd be interested to see it. Dyno sheet results are hard to come across for this bike right now. All we get is the ones from the factory.

sooo how loud are these vs the stocker? How about below 5krpm?

Stockers were VERY loud until they had a bit of running time under their belts, then they settled down, although still apparently failing noise tests at some UK tracks.

Termis are just plain loud. They boom at idle and pretty much roar everywhere else.

As in, fail track DB tests all over the place for slip ons (even with the db killers in) loud? I wear ear plugs when I ride so I dont mind much but like others I just want a deep sound but dont want to bring out the neighbors with pitchforks and torches!!

I only ever recall seeing that description for the full system. My memory may be wrong though.

In my accessories book that came with my bike it quotes above for full system.
