Termignoni FULL exhaust for 1299

Does anyone actually have a picture of the Termignoni slip-on installed? The Termi site only has the dressed up bike missing the lower fairing. I want to see a stock 1299 or 1199 with it installed? (Please note I'm in China at the moment and YouTube is blocked).

You mean this one? I posted it earlier.

My servo/flapper was removed as part of the install, as these slipons replace more of the pipe. With these, going a full system would be a minuscule difference compared to the "slip-on".

Yes I reckon you are right it would only be a small difference. And I know you are only generalising without doing the maths re the weights. But just guessing the weight difference will be more than 2 %. Probably closer to 30%.

When I have some spare 5 mins I will look up the differences and work out as a percentage.

In the end though people will buy more for economic reasons.

My next waste of money will be on some gold magnesium wheels.

My forged mags made the biggest difference of any mod - it was like I had been pulling a trailer!

Yes every time you say stuff like that Trauma, I reach for my credit card. I would have bought some by now but the aussie dollar is worth the same as a Peso at the moment.

People putting their bikes on the dyno, and riding the track, aren't looking at the welds. Garage queens yes. Reminds me of the comparison of a Ferrari to a Porsche, is a like comparing a model to a whore - one you want to go the the ball with, the other you want to .... :D

How about the browning of can's, is that ok too?

if you are paying for something that is of equal value, great welds can seal the deal. its not like termi's are selling at a lower price right? Four out of my five bikes were on termi's. But when I saw the seamless welds of the akra's , I forgot about termi's

It's not apples to apples - the new Termis are a completely different design. At some point we will see a dyno comparing the 2. But until then, the fact it has one less turn, I would think it will be better. I personally prefer all Italian (wheels/exhaust) on my bike - all things equal. And as far as price, the Termis cost less too.

Trauma,

You may have already answered this in another thread, but how do the new Termi slip-ons sound in comparison to the Akras?

No idea as I live in a Akra-free county! It did take 10 lbs off my bike, always a good thing - it it sounds awesome!
