No, they said in an email they do, their site now says "Doesn't not include" lol - I ned to contact an re-ask. Im just saying I don't need one.

Sorry for reviving the old thread here, Trauma, just wondering how these are going for you, I am considering these slips, I think they look great on your bike, just wanted to check that you aren't having any issues, no discolouration of the CF?

Cheers

also want some clarification - these Termi cans will or will NOT fit a 1299?

screw paying $5000 for a set of pipes. don't get me wrong, I'm pretty loose with my wallet; you have to be, to add one of these bikes as a secondary bike. but $5000, I just can't wrap my head around that. $2000 and I'd have done it before I even took delivery. Hell, full titanium pipes and exhaust for my S1000RR, also by Akrapovic, cost a whopping $1800.

If these Termignoni cans will slip on the 1299 stock pipes, I'll go get a custom map done by a reputable tuner and still come out far, far ahead.

Plus, these look better IMHO. You can never go wrong with carbon :)

Saw your PM - I absolutely love these pipes - reasons:

1. They look beautiful, and match the bike with just the right amount of CF
2. Ducatis were meant to have Termis, Italian bike should have Italian exhaust/wheels
3. Cutting edge/logically sensible design. Makes sense not to have the exhaust have yet another turn, Termi had time to think this through
4. No tune needed out of the box, as it comes with a filter. These run great/sound great from putting around town to 155mph
5. I think there is less heat, it was a hot day, and I was moving most of the time, but just think it was less
6. The price point at less than $2K almost makes them a sensibly priced exhaust
7. Weight - took off 10 lbs of sprungweight - that's a chunk. Replacing the headers with Ti won't buy many more, so not needed (IMO)
8. Power - the dyno supplied by Termi rocks, can't wait for an independent - but I love the power.

Thanks for that mate, just what I was looking for, I might see if I can do the dyno before and after, I only have the original Termi slip ons on it at the moment, not a full system so not sure how much difference they will make power wise but it would make for an interesting comparison.

Next question to our Queensland/Brisbane crew, can anyone recommend someone in Brisbane / Sunny Coast area who knows what they are doing with the 1199 to do a dyno run.

so, if I had an 1199, I'd have already ordered these cans.

but having a 1299S, I'm unsure of fitment.

a friend of mine who builds custom exhausts suggested cracking open the stock cans, stripping out everything inside, then running a single pipe to the front of the can, cut out an opening just as Termignoni has done, and then pack the rest of the can with baffle material. Oh, and seal off the stock exit port.

I might try this as a stopgap, until more 1299 options are on the market. Stock cans are anathema; it's the first thing I get rid of when I get a bike. But truth be told, the stock cans don't sound too bad at all.

Full Akra system for my new Lamborghini Huracan? $8k. The Akra system for the 1299 is pure theft.

Its $9,800 for the 458 Italia. Of course you are paying mainly for the material costs and slight charge in R&D, Lamborghini, Ferrari, McLaren, etc dont sell as many cars as say BMW which the exhausts are still high because they dont want people to think a product is cheaper than another product line.

Check out the Akrapovic exhaust for Porsche if you think we are getting ripped. They are higher than all of the above mentioned.

I have one on my TurboS, and yes, it was more. My point is, as a percentage of vehicle price, and amount of material, I didn't feel scammed by it. And the exhaust for my Huracan is quite a bit more material than the 1299.

I feel that since we are in the U.S. you should share you cars with the less fortunate:)
