Kinda goes hand in hand with the Biking History thread.

Which was the poster bike on your wall, that just passed you by?

The almighty RC30 :D

18 at the time. Didn't take my bike test until a few years later.

This started the motorcycle fire for me and was actually featured in a car mag that I used to always read!

For me it was around '83 or '84, I was about 13 years old. A neighbor had just bought a GPZ-900 Ninja. I was in lust with the bike, I would stare at it whenever I left the house.. I think I actually did have a poster of that bike at one time or another

mine was a zzr1100, when i first saw one my mate and I dreamed we were going to travel around aus on one each,i always said i was going to get one.
cheers burty

Back in the late 70's when I was 8/9 (I think!!) I went with my hero cousin to look at the new Suzuki GSXR1000rr. My parents never allowed me to have a bike, but when I started uni I borrowed a mates Kwak KMX 125 (with 50bhp which was breaking the law in the UK ;) and rode it to uni every day; from there went to ZXR400, Honda Fireblade, CBR600, ZXR6, ZXR10, R1, 748SP (awesome bike), MVF4, 996SP and then 996RS and ended up racing :D

Happy days indeedy :D

Just keep looking at RC30 pics, but I know that riding and owning one could never live up to my expectations.

I wonder when Honda will launch their next in the RC series? I would be so on that!

This was what was on my wall. Saw them when they were new. They still sound awesome to this day.

Wow. What a classic. Absolutely incredible.

BTW, love your sig, really made me laugh. Twice.

+1 the RC30!

I even inquired about importing one from Japan in 1989.. When they finally were released in the US and Europe, I couldn't justify the ~$15k price. At that time $15K was a lot when you could have three GSXR750s for nearly the same money. Plus, I liked the ideal of eating 3 times a day AND having a roof over my head. :)

I didn't let the Duc get away, I just waited 30 years...
this is mine;

oh, almost forgot to mention, there's a zero mile RC45 for sale at the dealership that I'm buying my 1199 from.
I think the price is somewhere around $40K

(this is not a pic of the actual bike)

Geebus.

I know I'm going to get hate mail for this. My poster bike was from 21 Jump Street, yes I said, the Suzuki Katana in red with gold rims.

I still like it today... ugh I'm going to pay for this I know it.

Otherwise, bike I should never have sold. VTR1000 and ZX10R. There were no bikes I should never have bought. I loved them all.
