Gloss for the tank (wallaroos piccy is just sublime) and satin for all the fiddly bits

But, don't ask me how to combine the two

Gotta go with the gloss. Can't have a beautiful shiny bike with some dull parts on it. The only way I would go matte carbon is if the whole bike was Matte Black. Like the 848 Evo Stealth

Im thinking glossy/wet I'm also thinking they should have put the traditional gold look wheels on as well.

argubly though the color comment has merit, if the 13's have an all black version in the line up then the matte carbon would be perfect!

Other than that glossy/wet all the way.

I went looking for some things that I wanted to use in the design for my bike and I found this.

Any advice how to make the Termignoni heatshield satin-look ?
Just grind it with fine sandpaper ?

You can do this but it ll be matte finish not satin.

Only way to obtain a real satin finish is to put satin finish on it (by a professional painter)

Here is the example with glossy BST and a DP shock cover

Yes, PLAYED OUT.
I was wondering why I was really not in a rush to spend money on any CF parts. I've done it with so many other bikes. For me it was never about weight savings, just bling and now everyone does it so why bother. So many other ways to spend money that you will never get a return on.

Satin.

Perversely the shiney gloss CF looks just like the fake stick-on CF that adorns super mini's owned by boy/girl racers the world over and is therefore uncool. Satin is classy and understated and is not bling at all. Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

I like both equally. Voted matte since it's what I have now. I only wish all the purchasable carbon bits were in one finish or the other not mixed and matched. Now that I have matte I don't want the shiny mixed in.

Well it looks like you all have done a great job making your votes count and points made! I am keeping this open until next Saturday in hope all the other members have not gotten a chance to see it yet. Thanks everyone for your input, but I am still getting my entire bike covered in nice wet, glossy, shiny Carbonvani carbon fiber! LMFAO !!

Hey Gunny at least we will now become the minority.

How true?
Love your bike man, so you can honestly tell me that the Carbonvani items are truly quality material and worth every bit? :D

I am ordering all the smaller items unlike your smoking hot stuff. I know what mine cost so can only imagine what you have into that ride!

Hey mate that is the Carbonvani bike....They are just sending me pics, including ones of my gear being made, from mold to finish. They have been great to deal with.
I have only been told about their gear and havent actually seen it, but what I have been told it is one of the best and I know someone who is close with NCR and they also use Carbonvani and he is going to stock it down here, thats good enough for me.

A lot of my Carbon will be done in a smoke black tint, so from a distance it will look black until you go up close and see it is 3D Carbon.

I voted matte too. A lot of the cheap CF parts are glossy and it looks cheap to me as an accent. Akra makes theirs matte now and I love their CF products. With a full kit, glossy would be my choice. If I could do whatever I wanted, I would paint the CF body work for the look with the weight savings. Swirl marks will also be less evident on matte.

Yes I saw the NCR bike, and thought you had the same bike, didnt even realize it was the same one from the Motowheels website too! So, the Carbonvani stuff is deep dark black 3D? Have you seen it up close in person?
