The Ultimate Fix for all V4R Reliability Problems

Wow, I've heard of some overfilling issues and leak pooling on the left side between the cylinders(water pump seal) but not seen that much oil on the backside of the engine.

I am not sure if that is his issue but I do know that it happens. According to what I was told filling to the top line when running the bike hard at the track would be similar to overfilling.

Like in any suggestion or information confirm with your dealer as this is what was recommended to me by my dealer.

Saw these this morning on the Panigale FB group. Leaking head gasket. EDIT--- Just noticed this is a twin not v4

I am curious what oil level you run as my dealer was just telling me Ducati recommends using the lower line (as max) if you do track days.
i found this out the hard way, i highsided during a race last summer

They're still working on it, nothing obvious, May have to take it to a dyno.
Has the oil pan ever been dropped? Yeah maybe it’s blow by from a crank breather. Any recent maintenance been done?

Will definitely keep this min oil line in mind next time I change the oil. No need to chase the top line if it’s going to lead to this.

When you change the oil on this bike you need to wait at least an hour to check the level otherwise it will be overfilled, like the other guy said level need's to be below centre line.
Absolutely agree with above statement.
I fill my bike until I see oil at the lower line of the sight glass. Than I run it to operating temp, shut it down and let sit for 30-45 min. After that I add oil if needed to bring it to middle of the glass. What I am trying to achieve is hot oil proper level which eliminates overfilling due to heat caused expansion.
