one of the things i noticed on my first ride was that the ride by wire throttle has quite a bit of "slack" off idle.
i prefer almost no slack and usually adjust my cables to eliminate it.
is there a pre-travel adjustment?

Are you in sport mode ? 195 Lo ? Turn it to 195High or put it in Race mode and its a lot more responsive. . Though if you're talking between idle and when it picks up and not overall responsiveness - then it might be a small cable adjustment.

i was referring to the initial rotation of the grip that makes nothing happen....feels like there is a small amount of pre-travel before the sensor is actually contacted and rotated.
its morning now.....im going to do some fiddling around and see what i can find.

looks like there is an adjustment but it requires a special triangular shaped bit to fit the screws.
dealer item i suppose.

Junkie , this is called throttle " freeplay ". The shop should be able to adjust it for you quickly. Just tell them you want less freeplay in the throttle.

thanks...i didnt know the precise term.
i find the excess freeplay very annoying.
do most choose eliminate this?

For street riding , most just leave it at the factory setting. For racing , I've always heard riders prefer a little less freeplay. Good Luck.

Agree, to much throttle travel coming off idle..... Normally would have tweaked the cable, but that option is gone! Will request an adjustment at the break in service.

the screws seem to have a modified three point torx type socket head.
i think im going to try and grind a torx to the appropriate shape so i can adjust it
myself.

Lets us know how that works out. I noticed the same free play on mine.
