If anyone here loves Pirelli, and it's the only Tire you'll use like me, I'm willing to turn you all onto my source who has yet to be beaten on Customer Service AND cost! Matter of fact he is so awesome he's even sponsored a few members during their race season after buying so many sets from him! Been doing business w the guy for YEARS and he takes care of all I refer to him (98% of the time) I just forget if I'm cleared hot to post "Anyone" outside the forum in the open or not?

Those of you who know me understand why I forget.

I used to have diablo corsa 2 on my bike - super grip in the wet :) love those tires - i rode around in the wet as if the roads weren't even wet.

I'm about finished with my Bridgestone RS10's, and I would definitely recommend them for track day and dry street riding. I've spent 4.5 track days on 1 set of RS10's in the Texas heat and have had impressive results. My riding style is very smooth and reserved (while still dragging knees), hence why I've been able to make them last. My replacement pair or RS10's are waiting to be installed while I squeeze out the last few miles on the street. Best bang for buck, hands down!

I love the super cosa SP but on a long trip 2500 miles + I have to buy another rear tyre after 1800 miles and you can never get what u want and they stitch u up on price, cus they know ur a long way from home and need a tyre!!

I put Bridgestone S21 on this year and what a fantastic tyre, great grip and good mileage, rear has lasted 2600 miles, which for me is good!! Also the shape of the front gives similar handling and change of direction as the pirelli.

I'm in search for a new rear tire as well. Just had the rear tire start showing bands after 3800 miles. If I get the Bridgestone S21s for the rear should I also get the front and just get a set? I just street ride the bike and looking for a good tire with longevity that is good rain and shine.

Diablo Rosso III. For a street tire, it's excellent. The dual compound will give you the longevity and if you need more edge grip on the street, you need to get off the street.

I have the Rosa II and like the looks but they don't keep good traction. Had the back end slide too much. Need to find something else.

tire size

someone asked if a different tire size will fit...

I use Q3 190/55/17. beauty of the 1299 is that it has tire calibration software. Mount this tire and run the calibration and you will be in good shape with electronics.

expect no more than 3k miles on street on the rear. can use one front for two rears.

enjoy and don't compromise one bit on tires. Not worth dumping a $25k bike to save a few bucks on tires.

I also got 7500 on my supercorsa but I am on rosso 3 now like it got 3k miles on them still look brand new

I like S21s better than the v2s for street. Instant grip and just feel amazing. They do get overheated on the track tho..

I can't believe these mileages! I stopped using Supercorsa's due to the poor low temp and wet weather performance, ( I live in England) but also the degradation in feel after 1800 miles. I wonder what they feel like after even 5000 miles, let alone 7000!

If anyone is interested. Metzeler just came out with the M9RR tires. Im a Metzler guy. I have the Metzler racetech K2 tires on my Duc, Metzler ractech K3 on my BMW S1000RR, Metzeler cruisetechs on my Harley Dyna and Metzeler M7RR on my BMW S1000R. But after watching the reviews on the Metzeler M9RR it blows away the M7RR. Take a look at this video. And I loved my M7RR's. I was on the very edge of my M7RR's going lower and tighter than on my Duc 1299 with Racetech K2's and on my S1000RR with Racetech K3's that I just mounted.

I do mostly street riding, in race mode. I 'RIDE' my bike and sometimes drag a knew every now and then. Now I need new tires. Are there any recommendations of tires I should get other than stock or should I just get the stock tires again? Trying to save a little money, but, hell its a $25k bike so I guess I should be worried about some $400 tires now. At 7500 miles now.

Pirelli Supercorsa II, I think. I always have the tires switched out on my Ducs, prior to taking ownership. Whatever the Pirelli triple compound is is what I utilize. Keeps the flat spot at bay and will still offer stickier compound as you get closer to the walls. I don’t remember what the cost is, but those stock tires are too soft for anything but tracking the bike. Even while running CA canyons, the triple compound performed well. I do a lot of commuting on my 1299s and have approx 7k mi on it. Still plenty of rubber.
