:D Anyone here only do track days? Done about 10 so far and I am completely obsessed. Riding around town almost getting plastered by cars just isn't fun anymore. Not to mention Ohio has no real good "twisties". I could see if you were out in Cali or the fun mountain roads in Italy where i just got married but obviously nothing comes close to the track. Anyone miss street riding?

After my first track day, I never rode on the street again. Ended up getting a race license a couple years later, even though that wasn't my intent at the time.

I can't see me giving up road riding as you have to spend some serious money to even do a couple track days a month and thats not enough bike time for me. If I'm into something I want to be doing it at least every week but preferably two or three hard sessions a week. Dirt biking is a good substitute, especially in the UK where the weather is not so good.

Won't ever happen for me, although would I consider just riding a cruiser or something other than a superbike on the street.. without a doubt

As much as I'd like to due to the amount of c0ckwombles on the road I can't give up road riding as work gets in the way of track riding. I managed to get of 5 or 6 this year and 2 were evening sessions! Not enough track time. Not enough time on a bike full stop. Now the Daytona has been the track machine this year and has suffered for it. She is now making a noise which the forums say is standard triumph! I hope so. Sadly I grew some balls and went to cadwell park one evening. Thought I hate it but it was bucket list. I went back for another evening the next week then did 2 full days there! Officially THE greatest 2.2 miles of motorcycling Nirvana in the world. Nothing comes close. I'd like to live there! I'm sure Royal will back me up on this. However I'm never taking the pani there!

Haha definitely one of the best tracks :) It's amazing on the Panigale, but my mates on Triumph 675 were matching my lap times as there's no where to stretch it out and use the power. Oulton is even better I reckon. Take the best of Cadwell and Oulton and give them steroids and you have Aragon :)

I have tried but failed many times to go "track only". There is just something too tempting and easy about going out for an early morning country ride on a Sunday. Although, I will say that people in their 2 and 3 ton vehicles, tweeting, posting on IG or FB, snapping and texting has me second guessing myself every time I go out.

I think the 675 is about the perfect bike there. It only loses out on the start/finish and park straights. My mates were struggling with their 2005 R1. To much power and weight. After I ballsed up and went straight on, grass tracking at coppice I can't risk the pani there! How I stayed on I have no idea. The only bit of it I'm not keen on is the ripples on the apex of Charlie's 2 right where the camber bleeds off and you wind on the power. Hall bends is bliss! To everyone who has never been you are missing out.

I aim to go to oulton next year, shell oils is a bucket list corner! With maybe Aragon in September time if the planets align. I'd like to wobble around there on the pani!

i only do track days and dirtbike ride.

I'm finding i'm doing more and more dirtbiking it's the best bang for the buck.

That's my intention as well . Just bought a dirt bike after being off them for a while and forgot how much fun they are . Still will do a few track days and race meetings here and there but I feel the dirt bike may be my future .
If your just doing track days start racing in a local series track days are boring after racing .

thats the plan I'll probably race the dirtbike next year and enter a few races in the local series

I'm just about track only now. I bought a membership at a local track that gives me access to six hours of open pit six days out of every month for $150/month after the $500 initiation fee. Street bike has only been out once or twice since I became a member there. Two track days a month scratches my itch.

Thats very cool. We want to move to Barcelona for more track time! There are quite a few tracks close by and the weather is better than the UK.

I currently ride track only. The main problem is the cost of track time and tires! This bike with a heavy grip twister is tough on tires.
I spent a fraction chasing contingency racing motocross, that includes racing out of state every weekend and going to Loretta lynns national.

I'm right there with you... Although here in Cincinnati you can go across the river for some killer roads in NKY. I haven't ridden on street this year after I converted to Track only. And now looking back on what we used to do in NKY I'm surprised I'm still alive... one day I'll invest in something along the lines of a Multi and head back out there...
