Tune Boy Maps

How do we get the stock map? Can we?

The standard or factory MAP/flash is released with the TB package as is a trim file which which contains tuning up to %40 throttle (it was done on a brand new bike)

None of the tunes for the Mitsi ECU (Diavel,MTS,Pani) are available on the web site as of yet but I am sure it's only a matter of time before Wayne or one of his minions updates it.

Thanks.... I need the Termi slips one though.. but your generosity is appreciated..:D

Since I read in some thread that the slips actually degrade performance, I am guessing the TB increases the degradation :D

We have a few more trim maps to go along with the base programs.
Two trim maps for the AR exhaust.
One for the Termi full system (Not SuperStock system with longer headers).
Should have a trim file for the Termi slip on pipes soon.

Couple of question regarding the tuneboy reflash.

Does it remove the factory maps or add an additional map?

Can it be returned to stock?

Would using a map that was created for a different bike in a different country with different fuel be beneficial?

Can the map be tuned in the closed loop area of the rpm range?

Thanks for any answers.

I'm open to correction from Wayne of course but as I understand it that following is true:

1) A tune boy 'map' is more than a fuel/ign map. It is a modified version of the software/firmware contained in the flash memory of the ECU. When you use the TB system to 'Reflash' the ECU the factory firmware is overwritten by the modified firmware.

2) included in the TB package is a copy of the factory firmware (often called a map) and you can use this to 'Reflash' back to factory

3) I am not aware of any regional differences in Panigale fuel maps although there do seem to be some variations for the Diavel and MTS which both use the same ECU.

4) As I understand it with the TB firmware installed 'closed loop' is not used anywhere and the O2 sensors can be disconnected. Better yet fit wide band O2 sensors and use the collected AFR data for tuning your open loop maps.

Mine arrives this week so if I learn any different ill report back.

Pouakai, thanks for that info. I am seriously considering the TB since it IS the only solution that has any impact on closed loop. My biggest concern is putting it back to stock if need be so nice to here that it can be done.

Pouakai is correct.

The program inside the ECU is altered to add a number of extra functions.
You can adjust the fuel and ignition while the motor is running.
O2 sensors are turned off and the O2 sensor plugs can be used for other things.
You can adjust the fuel and ignition over the entire TP/RPM range.
The Cruise Control doesn't just let you rest your throttle hand, it also allows you to watch the road instead of the speedo, this makes highway miles easy to do.
Other features will be added.
Ducati use one mapping for all countries, I don't see why tuning on bikes in Australia would not work as well in different countries.

I found out sometime ago, all the maps world wide are the same. When will the Base map w/ cruise be available, anyone know?

This is awesome.... Can you..at your leisure.. let me know how you feel this bike could be with termi slips?? Anyone improvement in fueling and power curves etc??

I can testify to the fact that at 40% throttle my bike is making significant gains over its previous tune - I'm still waiting for digital versions of the graphs to post. This makes road riding much better.

Cruise control is hilarious, works like a factory OEM feature. You start the bike then hold the starter button again for 5 secs, the engine blips so you know it's set. Then when you're riding you push the starter button again and it will set cruise at the speed you were at. You use the left hand up/down function buttons to increase speed by 1kmh increments. touch the brakes and it switches off.

This all sounds very much like what I need. So my quick questions that may or may not have been covered... I'm slow sometimes.

1) Will this eliminate my terrible stock fueling?
2) Where can I purchase this and where/how is it installed?
3) Is it available for my bone stock Base, no air filter and stock pipes?

Anything else I should know that I am missing?

Thanks in advance for the information/advice. I'm just not use to so many electronics on a motorcycle, haha.

Did you have to purchase any additional equipment for the cruise to work (there is an additional part listed on there web site).

Did this get rid of all the surging below 5000rpm?
