Loaded tuneboy cruise and tune on the weekend. Unfortunately it has rained for the last few days so I have not had a chance to road test anything, it is mid-winter after all. Static tests show everything loaded correctly although it took me a while to figure out the power mode switching since the manual is not correct, luckily the blurb on the website is.

A couple of questions: should I reset the throttle begin and end points before setting off and should I reset the long term fuel trims?

Thanks for any tips.

Took it out for a test drive today. I used the flat torque throttle map which seems to be really nice. The bike seems to behave very nicely cruising around. I couldn't get the cruise control to work at first and then realized I was resting on the back brake, fine after that. I really like cruise as I'm a bit short of the bars and it is nice to sit up and rest.

Cheers

Still like the cruise and throttle response but I'm a bit disappointed I can't reset the oil service indicator. The manual which is wrong in several places says that this only works on some models but doesn't say which ones. You don't find this out until you buy the thing as it doesn't mention it on the website. It does say that this is an extra and you shouldn't expect it to work but...

At least I don't think it works, I've tried everything I can think of. One person suggested that you have to make a trim file and load that to turn the light off, I don't think so but I tried that anyway, no luck.

Cheers

AFAIK It's actually an option that you select under the config options in the tuneboy Windows application.

Yes that's right but it does nothing. On the odd occasion the bike makes a noise when you select it and other times it doesn't but either way even after a restart the service light stays on.

I have had that issue as well. I believe it was an issue with the tune I had loaded. After reflashing, it worked. If not contact Emma and let her know the issue.

Was this on a 1299? If so that is encouraging. I have heard that contacting Tunably support is not the most rewarding experience, that maybe harsh as I haven't tried myself.

I can corroborate that statement.

I've tried to email them to ask questions prior to deciding to buy their system, after a few exchanges, the reply time became longer and longer until all of a sudden, they just stopped replying to my email questions.

I haven't even bought their product yet and I can't get my questions answered, I can't imagine getting them answered after i buy it.

Their support is (or lack of) is well known.
Ive help out a few people (899's 1199) with issues getting the TB system to work.
the V6_7 tune on the 899 has alot of bugs (at one point auto full throttle as soon as you hit 6th gear)
While some issues get replied and resovle other im still waiting on (and will be for a while)

Unfortunately TB seems to be the only re-flash tune which comes with so much (QS, Cruise Control, Throttle maps)
All the others only do one part of TB ( RB for Tune, Blip box for QS, not sure who does Cruise control) which if go that route which cost 3x that of TB.
(I paid around $850USD for everything for TB, but if I when RB and Blip box I would be over $1700USD and no cruise control or Throttle maps)
