I just finished installing the Brentuning system on my Ducati 1299 Anniversario and I have to tell everyone that this is the truth. I have a full Akrapovic Race exhaust, Sprint filter and Rapid bike system. This was by all means the best mod I have done. The quirks like low end bucking cold starts and power dips are gone. That is amazing to me. I'm only writing this to help anyone that might be on the fence on this product or is having these issues on their 1299 and dont know how to really fix them. I noticed way better results with the Brentuning than the RB. Even though I was going to do both

Why do you have the RapidBike system and Brentuning? Unless I'm missing something, it seems redundant.

Rapid bike is overkill with our flash from what we have seen. We make a lot of positive changes to the ridability of the bike which I have found the RB unit to wipe out after 300ish miles. Many people will use a fuel controller to dial in the AFR when we flash a bike remotely, a PC5/Bazazz that isn't a learning based system would be fine.

Hi Chris
It looks like the pc5 will not allow adjustment in the closed loop area for my 1199. So it can only do 80%-100% ? Same like Honda grom. What's the use of a piggyback fuel controller like pc5 that can only control 20% ?

Still looking for options.

Thanks for the response Chris. The main reason I'm looking at the Brentuning is to eliminate the bucking / surging at lower rpm's when riding between 0-40mph, mostly through town heading out to my favorite riding areas. I've got a stock '16 1299 S. Will just the Brentuning eliminate this problem, or do I also need to replace the stock mufflers, which contain the catalytic converters, with a Termigoni or Akra slip-on? Thanks, Ken

We can handle all the part throttle ridability fixes you are looking for, you do not need a PC5 for that. The only reason people use a PC5 in many scenarios is they want to custom tune their AFR which will allow for some additional power over our base file in some cases. I can get it close with our base file but those looking to get most power will want to dial AFR on a dyno with a fuel controller. I do find however that 95% of my Ducati customers are happy with our base file as is and do not have a need to dial in the AFR any further.

We will fix the low speed part throttle ridability issues that plague these bikes, everyone who tries it says it was the best thing they did for their bike. You can keep the stock exhaust or modded exhaust, you choose, I have mapping available for all the popular exhausts on the market.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi.
On your website and option is a full feature map upgrade. Can you explain what that is and will this unit read all the diagnostic codes on the bike?
Thanks

Will you have tuning for the the V 4 eventually?

Yes we are beta testing it currently.

Full feature map upgrade is our most aggressive mapping, for any forum member I will include it at no charge. It will also include the early fan option. The device can be used to read and clear codes, yes.

Hi
I am about to purchase this unit. How do i get the map upgrade added for no charge?
Thanks

I strongly recommend BrenTuning. I had the pleasure of riding a 2017 S1000RR with their tune and a full Akrapovic system. It was incredibly powerful and the fueling and throttle response were much smoother than stock.

I also have their tune on my 2018 BMW R1200GS with full Akrapovic system and BMC air filter. The bike is truly transformed. Throttle response feels amazing now. The quickshifter and autoblipper are much smoother than stock, and the bike pulls much harder all the way to the rev limiter now.

I can't wait to see what they offer for my Panigale V4, as I know they will improve on this already incredible machine.

Is the map upgrade still available free of charge if I mention "ducati forum" in the notes, liking what brentuning is offering in there package.

Just ordered mine and mentioned Ducati forum member. I'm going to switch from my Rapid Bike race to this as I want the early fan option because of how much commuting I do here in CA. Can't wait to try it out and I pray they add cruise control some day. Thanks Brentuning and keep up the amazing work.

Well I've been running the Bren tune for over a month and I'll never go back to rapid bike even if you paid me. The bike runs smother and has more power then it ever did with the rapid bike. Even the quick shifter is more responsive. Just taking off at a light and city driving is 100% better! Thanks BrenTuning and hats off to a job well done. You've earned a customer for life.:):):)

Just waiting for my programmer to arrive.
I bought a used one and had some issues being locked so had to send back to Brentuning .
I am hoping to get it back next week and try it out.

Will this work if my bike currently has a Rexxer flash? Bike has a full vandemon exhaust.

Ive got a hesitation between 5-6k. Noticed it on the track, drives me nuts.

Thanks BrenTuning

So I must say its been two dry weeks of solid riding with new Bren Tune as I purchased the Handheld device, and I'm absolutely loving the results produced. As Advertise the bike is night and day through town, and an absolute monster when full throttle. Wont list out all the benfits but i sure do enjoy my bike running below 200 at normal cruise rates and only raising to 210-215 when punching it. Owners will know the bike stock would run at 225-230 on a normal day.

Thanks for the nice words - glad you're happy with the product!
