Turn signal problem

you got same problem which the switch is functional in the first few minutes?

Yes same problem, although mine is ok for more than 3 minutes. I think it is functional for more like 10-15 minutes before it stops working. It is also the right turn signal switch and top scroll button, other switches remain functional.

I have the same problem and, really getting irritated with it. the right indicator doesn't work half the time and the left indicator comes on but doesn't go out when i push the cancel button.

My bottom scroll button wasn't working intermittently yesterday, but seems OK now. The display was stuck on air temp. I'll see how it goes and report it to the dealer if it persists.

Well, looks like they fixed the problem... They switched out the entire dash assembly with a new one and the problem is gone.

They tell me there is a new part number for the dash display over first run bikes.

Looks like you are in Killeen... Just call Bull over at Ducati Austin and they will hook it up.. It's the same problem I had.

Right turn signal

Recently noticed my right signal not functioning. cold, hot no difference.

My base/ABS has the same problem. Right turn directional not working, left directional wont cancel, up scroll button not working, and horn works for a fraction of second before stopping. All the problems started a few weeks ago when I had about 1600 miles on the odometer, and everything works normally when bike is cold. Its been serviced a couple times trying to find the problem, and right now i'm waiting on a new dash.

It's obviously a known problem because they have a new part number for the dash display than the original dispaly.

As per the video, the problem has nothing to do with heat... just time. If the ignition is turned on and bike not started.. the problem will occur a couple minutes after the ignition is turned on.

I saw mine screw up at about 4-500 miles.

I bet with this one they are gonna be a bit shy issuing a recall... I think I read somewhere that the dash dispaly is about $2K.

Yep I have the problem of right side blinkers not functioning. Just started about a week ago. I thought it was heat related also. I'm in DFW area of Texas and thoght it was the outside temp.
Thanks for keeping the information coming about the problem/fix.

my dealer finally ordered a new dash for me. Supposed to be in next week.

Had dash replaced this morning. Took about 1 1/2 hrs works for now . Hpoefully the corrected whatever was causing the problem. Saw price on warranty. I think it was 1100$. Would hate to have to buy dash after warranty expires. A dash should last at the very least 5 years.

Alright, just curious if anyone else has seen this. Periodically, my entire right side turn indicators do not light up.. both front and back on the right side only. it will work for a while and then after the bike heats up, it stops.. the left side works fine... Until this...

The dealer swapped out the switch with another used one but still same problem. Ironically, after the second switch was put on, the left signal will go on but not cancel off. It just stays on until I stop the bike and turn off the ignition.

Any of ya'll seen this?
I came across same problem. It's a fault with the Digital Dial. It doesn't exert the right amount of power (5watts) out to the turning signal. A new clock had to be ordered. It's apparently a recall issue, or at least, thats what I hear. That's why I'm waiting for the 2013 model. Good luck

I do think it is heat related. I went on a trip this last week and during the night up in the mountains (blue ridge) when the temp was around 65 degrees it worked fine.

They had swapped my switch. I will call the mechanic and let him know that he has to order the new panel.

I never post to forums anymore but figured I'd post here.

My bike has this problem. Right turn signal doesn't work, top menu button doesn't work. Didn't try the horn, but I will.

The problem goes away after the bike is off for an extended period.

The problem doesn't appear every time I ride the bike.

Do any of you with the problem happen to use a battery tender to charge the bike? I have a Jr. model. I was told that we are supposed to use the Ducati one. I'll look around and see why exactly that is. I hope it's not related. With a new dash part number, it seems like we probably didn't cause this.

For those that have had the dash replaced I assume everyone is back to 0 miles on the clock? My dealer said there is no way to put the miles I had on the new dash?

Yea now have to go in and get 600 mile service light shut off. Luckily I was at 2000 miles easy enough to remember add for total subtract for next service

This just happened to me the other day. Coincidentally I received the recall notice for the other items the same day. I'll have the dealer check it out when I bring it in for the recall items, but it sounds like a new TFT is in order?

Mine just started acting up this evening. It's doing the exact same thing. No right signal, left is fine. Up button stops functioning. Time to call the dealer.

RM4TWO, interesting that you got a recall letter. I bought from the same dealer as you and haven't received anything. Hmmm.

It's gna suck having to see that 6K warning line again on the tach if they can't set the mileage.

The problem is not heat related. If you simply leave the ignition of your bike on and not start it for about three minutes, the problem will surface. (There is a video on YouTube of a guy showing this with the motor off)

As far as the mileage on the odometer.. Yea, they do start it back at 0 miles. No way to put the old miles back on the new display. That kinda sucks.

When I had mine picked up with the new "0" miles on it.. I had the full RPM range available.... I did have to pop in and have them reset the oil change light once I hit the 621 miles on the odo.

No biggie... 10 minutes and I was out the door.

I'll have to check again, but I'm pretty sure the letter came from DNA not the dealer? Regardless, you should be getting one soon. The good news is Go-AZ has the recall parts in stock so no waiting. :) But we'll see about the switch/TFT issue.
