Turn signal problem

Same thing.

My bike has signal problems also. Same issue. It heats up and the right side will not work. Today i took it out for a early morning ride to follow my sister on her ride back to Maryland and shocking enough it didn't happen, but it was a bit chilly so the cold may have saved it.

Well, looks like they fixed the problem... They switched out the entire dash assembly with a new one and the problem is gone.

They tell me there is a new part number for the dash display over first run bikes.

I'm from the Philippines and have the same problem. I have an "S" model and problem just surfaced last Sunday. My right signals just didnt work, so did my trip meter scroll up button. I was trying to reset my trip meter while cruising at 80kph on our highway and it didnt work...my right signals didnt work too. But as soon as I stopped to load fuel...she starts workin fine....

My Dash also fogs up terribly...I will need to have this dash replaced by our Ducati Dealer....

Not sure if I'm glad to hear i'm not the only one with this problem. Here in Phoenix I thought it was heat related, but the time of 2-3 minutes makes perfect sense. My right turn signal stops working after a few minutes and on any long ride the left won't cancel. Also the upper mode switch stops operation after a few minutes. Dealer said they cant recreate fault.

Go-AZ? Mine is going in tomorrow for the recall items and to check out this issue. Go-AZ is aware of the problem as at least three of us here in the valley have called them about it, so we'll see what happens.

Mines going in on Saturday. PM me and let me know what they say.

Wtf!

Just dropped off my Panigale at the dealership because my right turn signal and my upper control switch also stopped working.

Well as expected the dealer could not recreate the problem. The tech said he had three other bikes that had the same problem (it'll be 4 when Efna brings his in this weekend) and that he has calls into DNA. Also, as expected it happened again on the ride home from the dealership :) I'm thinking if it happens again, I'll just turn around and head back so they ca see it in action.

Mine happens all the time and I have been able to make it happen while just sitting, engine not running, in the garage so I am confident that Go AZ will finally see it for themselves and be able to diagnose/learn something. Having said that I have now pretty much guaranteed that the bike will function perfectly.LOL. I do know one thing though. It is NOT engine or running heat related at all.

I believe Ducati service people are aware of this problem.

What is going to be done about it is the next question. Seems excessive if they actually have to replace the whole dash for this. But if it's really a hardware problem, maybe they do. It seems like it could be a CAN bus problem.

Anwyay, mine is waiting at the dealer for a fix, we'll see how it goes.

Worldwide the numbers of people with this issue is growing. With a new ECU part number clearly the problem is related to some component within the original dash/ecu. Many dealers are having problems diagnosing this problem because it can be very sporatic and not occur when the owner brings the bike in. I predict a recall or bulletin from Ducati outlining the symptoms and solution within the next month. I think that the problem is serious enough to warrant a safety recall as it affects the riders ability to signal directional change intentions. It could also result in moving violations for failure to signal.

My dash was replaced last week. I only have about 50 miles on it since then, but so far no problems.

The odo is reset to 0 so I will have to get the 600 mile service warning cleared. It only had 1555 miles on it before the dash change.

My display was changed and it hasn't happened again, although the temp has dropped considerably. Ducati changed , no questions asked, according to my mech, so I presume they are aware.

I agree...My bike has the same problem...Dash gets fogged up...so, a new dash is on it's way...that should solve the Right signal light problems, scroll down button malfunction, horn not working at times and of course, the Fogged dash panel. Oh well, price we have to pay for getting the first Panigale units.

Glad my bike is still under warranty. My Pani has 4,320kms.

Yep - same thing here (Singapore)

The turn signals suddenly packed up - both at the same time and no toggle up down function either. Spoke to the dealer and they were aware of it - Third bike it has happened to. Apparently not the switch, but a faulty display/dash is to blame and the other bikes were fine once that was replaced - will keep you posted

Alright, just curious if anyone else has seen this. Periodically, my entire right side turn indicators do not light up.. both front and back on the right side only. it will work for a while and then after the bike heats up, it stops.. the left side works fine... Until this...

The dealer swapped out the switch with another used one but still same problem. Ironically, after the second switch was put on, the left signal will go on but not cancel off. It just stays on until I stop the bike and turn off the ignition.

Any of ya'll seen this?

I have the same on the right side but since I have aftermarket turn signals (yes I have resistors) the dealer would not address the issue

That's BS..I also nave smaller aftermarket turn signals on my Pani, as soon as my Dealership got my bike for the very same problem they chuckled and said to me: well looks like you are getting a new dash too.
Any dealership worth its weight will know exactly what this issue is and won't deny warranty.

Can you not just film it with your phone when it happens then show the dealer at your convenience? ;)

Aww Crap. Now I am having this problem. The left blinker does not want to cancel and the right wont come on after I ride orver 5 minutes. Then yesterday when I turned the key, the dash wouldn't light up so I was stuck at a friends house for an hour or so, then it decided to work. Anyone else having these issues?

It's a 5- minute fix. See your dealer about service bulletin TSB881 as described in this thread -
