UK Orders

I had a similar story from my dealer, should be arriving in the next two weeks. They're also expecting my bike, their first, before their own demo bike. As I'm away on holiday for 2 weeks as of next Wednesday, you can all reliably expect to receive your bikes next Thursday :-(

I was in Jersey the other weekend, my kids live there now as my ex has moved in with a bloke over there.

Update today for my order, 4-5 weeks for base model with ABS.

Better pull my finger out and get BM up for sale!

Dealer saying that no information has been given by Ducati, and this is as of yesterday when they attended the training course for the Panigale. How certain dealers are giving dates out he has no idea, but suggests it may be best guess.

Says they normally only get 3 days notice from Ducati, but having originally been told April, and not being told anything else to date, they are still saying April.

My London dealer told me today that he expects his demo in mid-April (S model). Apparently base models are a little delayed due to certain parts issues which he didnt expand on, presumably a delay of some sort from Marzocchi or Sachs.
The demo was initally going to be a base with ABS, but because of the parts issues it's now going to be an S.
He was initially expecting 4 base models to be delivered around the same time as the demo, but now he's either expecting a partial base model delivery with the demo, or perhaps a couple of weeks after for all 4.
So mid-late April is his best estimate for my base with ABS.
I dunno about S models other than the demo, or the Tri.

OK, just spoke to my dealer and this is the story for the UK...

The first bikes have now arrived into Ducati UK from Bologna and are being stock piled until there are enough to send every dealer their initial allcation. New batches of bikes are arriving at Ducati UK daily. This is being done so the the first bikes all arrive at dealers on the same day and nobody gets their bike before everyone else. The expectation is that they'll have enough bikes at Silverstone(?) to ship out to the dealers within the next day or two. The best guess is that the first trauch with hit UK dealers mid next week, but as I'm in Jersey mine might take a day or two longer.

I'm going on a Ski holiday to Canada for two weeks next Thurdays morning, so its a dead cert you'll all get your bikes this day - grrrrr!

I got an email today and was told that know one knows when they are coming, dealerships are only guessing however there may be some arriving mid april, however my tricolore which is in the first batch of orders is looking like june or even into july before that arrives.

So, just to clarify, the dealer has said they have no idea on delivery dates, but yet stated June or even July ???

Surely the guess work by the dealers is only causing more confusion, and ultimately causing more upset to those expecting delivery any time soon. I know they want to be able to answer questions to those stumping up 15-22.5k for the bike, but personally don't see it being helpful.

Ducati need to sort it out, and give the dealers an idea. I don't know many industries which work on the 'you'll get it when its ready' mentality. Relying on the fact that its the latest toy only gets you so far, after that more is needed & keeping customers happy is a big part of it, and to do this they need to be kept in the loop.

You are currently sitting at number 9 out of 20 confirmed orders for the Tricolore's. We have been told by Ducati that there "shouldn't" be any problems with delivery times of the Tricolore. However as yet we haven't been given any fixed dates and I know that to be the case across the whole of the UK. I have been told this by other Ducati dealers and also by Ducati UK. No one has confirmed dates for delivery times at this moment. All we can do right now is to offer a best estimated guess, and given the fact that you are in the first half of our allocation of Tricolore's I would imagine that your bike is very likely to be quite early on. At a rough estimation it's likely to be around mid to late June, possibly a little earlier maybe a little later. All I can promise you is that we are doing our level best to push Ducati to supply these bikes as quickly as they can.

All dealers were originally told that the first customer bikes would begin arriving through at the end of April / start of May. However it now looks as though the first customer bikes are gonna begin coming through in the first half of April which is certainly a positive start. If anyone ahead of you in the queue for a Tricolore pulls out then obviously you'll slip forward a place in the queue.

As soon as I have any more information than that I will be straight on the phone Sean to let you know.

Definitely maybe!!! :)

I know the dealer in question and he's just back from dealer training at Ducati UK, where he was briefed on the delivery schedule. So the information about deliveries came directly from Ducati and I've no reason to doubt him. I have every confidence my S + ABS will arrive next week, even though I'll probably be in Canada.

Rang Ducati Aylesbury today they tell me they have a show bike now and an open weekend 24th /25th Mar. I am told demo bike next week. Again I have been told April build for May delivery on my base with ABS

Oh Yes...

Quote from from my dealer "And you can start getting excited – bike left the UK warehouse today ………….."

Spoke to my dealer this morning and i now understand why I'm getting my bike before most....

The smaller UK dealers aren't taking demo bikes and so their first bikes are going direct to customers like me. The larger dealers will be getting their demo bikes first and then their initial customer bikes shortly after this.

I'm sure everyone will get their bikes in the next week or two, assuming you're towards the top of the waiting list at your dealer.

Mine has definitely shipped from Ducati UK to my dealer, ETA Wednesday.
