That's why I went with the Termi for now. I still wanted to ride but not on a neutered bike. I'll update it when they finally come out with it.

Hello all, for those that have downloaded the mtorque are you able to customize the wheelie control, dtc, etc.. I am not as skilled as Somefun for example (love your cycle collection). I am not looking to do wheelies on command as I would be on YouTube starring in a fail video. Any feedback is appreciated. FWIW, I have stock exhaust

You can still adjust your wheelie control to whatever you want it. Also I just got a note back from Up Map that they now have the bike that they needed to make the AKR map. So hopefully soon we'll have the correct map for our systems even know the Termi works great!

Appreciate the response. Good to know on AKR, leaning towards the Arrow exhaust atm.

Hopefully soon on the AKR map.

I spoke to my dealer today and was told that because I installed the AKR exhaust myself I'd have to jump through a bunch of hoops for them to flash it. Lights have to be taped up, mirrors removed, fuse for turn signals removed and proof that the bike was taken by trailer to the dealership, which I assume would be a photograph.

What's really annoying is that if I paid the dealer $1,000 to install it, I'd just have to sign a waiver.

So a bunch of annoying BS to have a wonky map flashed. I think I'll pass. Meanwhile, nearly every Harley rider by me has straight pipes.

Just buy the T800 and the termi map and be done with it. at least it will be 100% better than it is now. When the map comes out grab it. this way you can ride the rest of your season with it 95% right. Mine runs fantastic with that map and the full AKR.

I had planned on having the AKR map installed by the dealer and saving it to the T800 so I could use it as a reference or leave it on there if I ever sold the bike.

But, dealer/Ducati shenanigans happened.

Just after hitting the post reply on my previous message, I installed the termi slip-on performance no-Db killers map which was free with the T800 which I purchased from vcyclenut.

The bike starts better, there's no wonky idle and its smoother everywhere in the rev range.

I'll do the mtorque map when its released for the AKR since I'll have to pay for a mtorque map. Might as well wait.

Something I wanted to add since I don't remember it being brought up. The T800 can be used to view and clear some engine codes. This is done through the DTC page in the app.

When I first hooked up the T800, I had three codes. If you select one of them it will give you more information about it. In my case it was a wheel speed sensor, a P048D and I forget what the third was.

These seem to be standard OBD-II codes and P048D is the exhaust servo, which is removed when installing the full AKR system. The T800 will also report this error is not erasable but flashing one of the maps onto the bike will remove it and give you the "Racing Pro" message on the dash.

The other two codes I had were related to the black box connector not being seated when I first started my bike after installing the AKR system. I cleared both of those using the trash can icon in the DTC page. Flashing removed the P048D.

I wasn't aware of this feature prior to using the device. It gives it a bit more utility which was unexpected.

But, dealer/Ducati shenanigans happened.

Not to quote my own post but, I had a thought. I was watching YouTube and a YouTube'er with several Ducati bikes (over a few different videos) getting the Akra map flashed by Ducati Santa Barbra with the bike very obviously having the mirrors, no lights taped off, no blinker fuse removal or trailer to the dealer nonsense. So that .... is ok, but I have to jump through a bunch of BS hoops. Keep in mind YouTube guy even has a CA tag in the videos, so its obviously a road bike.

I don't want to say F*** Ducati but, I almost want to trade in for a BMW or a R1M out of spite.

This .... is annoying AF. Either the rules apply to everyone or we all just agree the rules are hot trash and disregard them. Then my dealer says they'd flash my bike with a signed waiver if they would have installed it. So I would have had to pay their price with sales tax on a $5k exhaust(!) plus a $1k install fee. That's a pretty ...... paywall they created.

Mmmm... not pretty clear to me. Having a stock SF V4 S, is there a definite and clear advantage to buy and install Up Map? I do not race the bike or go to track days - mostly weekend trips of 200 - 300 km through twisties using 5th and 6th gear.

@TwoWheels

When you buy a T-800, the device to install the maps, there are two types of maps you can use. Performance and Mtorque. You can download a Performance map for free with the purchase of a T-800. A Mtorque map is about 199 euro.

Both types of maps will restore power in the lower rev range and remove the dip below 7k RPM. Both will make the bike start and idle better and will be much more smooth through the rev range. Both will provide an increase in power and torque.

If you use one of the Mtorque maps it removes the torque limit in the lower gears and really unleashes the V4 engine giving you its full power.

The T-800 also allows you to view and erase some engine codes.

Great! Makes sense! Where do one buy the Up Map on-line? ( I believe a "dongle" and then the "software"? Regards!

Will there come a day that someone will be able to "remap" the SF V4 ECU so that it can eliminate the switching off of cylinders, the somewhat feeling of unevenness when riding a constant speed on a highway, the falling asleep of the motor when sitting at a traffic light and try pulling away with the motor starting to wake up.... I have to compare the SF with my 2019 Super Duke R that has NONE of this nonsense! Seems like Ducati has built an electronic package and then had to install it on a bike while KTM has built a bike and then designed a electronic package for it.... The SF can be a great bike without the annoying electronic Ducati fingerprints. I assume that Up Map does nor address these issue for now?

The T-800 took care of a lot of the unevenness for me. It feels much better. I never experienced a problem with the cylinder switching off and cannot say I ever noticed it. I know it only does so when the temps are high but when starting off I tend to give the throttle a blip which would activate it if it were shut off. I think if you even release the brakes it will reactivate in anticipation of moving.

The rear cylinders reactivate when you let the clutch out a small amount or when you hit the throttle.

Not to knock anyone's riding prowess or style, but unless you are taking off like your in a race, it shouldn't take much to get used to. If you are in a race, just leave the clutch out to just before the engagement point and the cylinders will not deactivate. At stop lights, I have the habit of moving the clutch lever small amounts in & out to keep the cylinders active.

@bp_SFV4 When I had my full system installed(Akra) by the dealer, I had to sign a waiver and they took a pic of it strapped to the trailer before they put the 30day tag on. They mentioned it is a requirement out of Bologna for more liability coverage for them... I'm guessing since they are not emissions compliant and there may be countries that can be hung back on the dealer as not informing the customer... that's just a guess on my part, no proof.
