Could it be harmful to leave it?
Can’t find anywhere that it must be done?

It is harmful to the sensors, since the electrical current running through them as they work is what cleans them. Disabling them but leaving them installed will make them get gunked up by exhaust byproducts and eventually become useless altogether. Also, they may or may not be "truly" disabled and might slowly affect the mapping over time.

I can't imagine the electrical current which passes to the sensor has the capability to clean it and I can't find a reference to it doing so online at all.

The rest of the exhaust or the cans don't get gunked up with normal operation and they have no electrical current going through them.

Sounds great, I hope you will get rid of the rain so you can do your testride, I have the same problem, pitch black outside, a lot of rain. I´ll have to wait.

So I still need to unplug the O2/Lambda? I hade no warning lights or errors in the dash.

Ok, I guess it has to be done even though there is no warning light. I wonder why it´s not in the instruction? Or did I totally miss that part?
Thank you for the accurate description and how to locate/remove it.

did you get out and ride her yet? I'm hoping to get out later today but I'm going to re install the map one more time because I finally read the instructions and I didn't cycle the on off button like they asked you to. Not sure if it would matter or not but I might as well do it just incase.

OK SO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got back from the first test ride. HOLY SHITTTTTT Well I can tell you the ARK map still had the torque limiting in it and it sure as hell doesn't anymore. :) Now I did do the 520 conversion last weekend and went 15/45R and when I rode it like that is was a nice change for sure. But with the Mtorque map it's how you'd want her to come from the factory.

There's definitely way more power mid and high and the wheel comes up in second and third like I wanted for sure (wheelie control off). Its definitely worth it IMO. I really didn't like riding the bike because I knew it had more and it just didn't have that pop! Well she does now. I remember my Ducati dealer telling me he had one on the dyno and in second it only made like 160HP and I kept thinking it had to be limited. Well is freaking rips now and is a hand full, love the change. I didn't try the free map because I really wanted the Mtorque and I also got a deal on it.
I think in total I paid a little over $400.00 for everything which in my book is cheap considering I paid over 5k for the AKR full system and it ran like crap.

100% agree with you. Since loading the Mtorque map I have been waking up every morning wanting to ride and looking for excuses to meet people for lunch so I can ride there. I don’t know much about how the OEM restriction would show up in a dyno chart. It puzzles me to see no dip in torque on the charts between Stock ECU and the Mtorque map.

Curiosity aside I did some more riding and tried to do some comparisons of stock vs Mtorque.
Again completely unscientific seat of your pants trials that highlights what the bike is like with the restrictions turned off

Here is some feedback from simple tests of seeing if the torque would lift the front wheel( DWC off)

1st gear – Stock ECU the front wheel would come up but you would still have to get the revs up a bit. With Mtorque the front will lift at any RPM. You have to be a little careful of first gear and I can see the advantages of wheelie control

2nd gear – if you crack the throttle anywhere above 3.5-4K the wheel will pop up( let’s be honest this bike is stumbling around at 3.5K). AND its smooth. The stock ECU will make you rev it over 5K and it can be a little scary how she doesn’t like the front wheel up. That’s all gone. In 2nd rolled on throttle at 4k, smooth lift of the wheel, rode her just under balance point and accelerating, shifted into third and kept her up for a bit before rolling off and slowly lowering the front back on the ground, no wheel chirp. Again I’m no wheelie master but this is not possible with the stock ECU at least not within my skill set.

3rd gear – Wheel comes up smoothly at 5K with no issues.( stock ECU 9K or above, scary! ) Ride as long as you like but this is brown shorts territory for my skills.

4th gear – Yep the wheel comes up under 8K( with stock ECU I never got the wheel up at any rev). I put DWC level 1 and in 3rd and 4th throttle wide open the front will levitate 15 inches off the ground as long as you keep it WOT.

Bottom line and dyno charts aside, if you turn off the restrictions it’s a very different bike and I like this bike better

Honestly if you have a Street Fighter this is a must have! Hands down. When I ordered mine I ordered it from somebody online and it actually came from Brock’s Performance so you guys could probably go direct and maybe save some money

Vcyclenut has them on sale for $315

I thought you always got one map, a Performance one for free and had to buy the Mtorque. I don't see how Brocks is offering anything different.

Wow! Nice review to read - and I did come out for a very short ride, but there where a lot of obstacles in my way (I belive they´re called cars, people trapped in cages with wheels-how sick is that?) since it was rush hour and all I managed was a short ride for about 10 min one way to a store and then the same way back, some low temperatures on that and cold ground so not what you would call a "ride it like you stole it" run.

DWC= off.
DTC still on (1-3) due to the cold weather and low temperatures.

Tried it in Sport and Race, I felt it (placebo and butt dyno) as if it felt "lighter" and smooth on the throttle, the revs felt "faster" in the midrange but not sure.
I expected to be a hooligan in therms of wheelies (even tough I really suck at hoisting monos) but never got any, still did not wind the throttle as crazy either.

I need to ride more and longer to have som fair conclusion, but all and all, it worked fine and the bike hand no problems or issues at least, but I expected to meet Godzilla on rampage when winding the throttle and he seemed to be awol yesterday.

Also, I have the Termignoni-map without baffles installed (on a Akrapovic system) and still with lambdas in.

To receive that fair treatment of power, I should probably have the Mtorque installed and lambdas removed combined with more time and some sunshine, then I´ll praise the review more.

With a bit of luck, I might be able to get a ride tomorrow, can´t wait and I really want to meet the wrath that is hidden somewhere in the bike.

Grrrr, now I may have to get one.

@Somefun just out of curiosity, have you tried putting the stock Akra map back in? Does the dash display Racing Evo if you do?
I didn’t try to go back to the AKR map. I don’t know if I even would. The process takes about 10 minutes total it’s like 6 for the first part then another 5 or so to complete it.

you need to still wind the throttle pretty good. But then she will definitely rip. Low speeds and inputs it’s like stock. I actually wish the throttle could me more responsive down low.

Have you tried setting the engine mode to full power dynamic?

Yes, very sure, especially since in Race it´s default, but I´ll double check.
Hopefully I will try some more tomorrow if the weather is better.
