How is wheelie not built into the 6 axis or whatever black box unit? I wouldn't think wheelie control is a map thing without detection by the BBU. I mean, why would there be a reduction without a detection of a wheelie (axis) change?
there are 2 ways, preemptive and reactive. preemptive in the ecu map.

I don't understand the product segmentation in the Upmap store. There are two maps, same exact dyno chart and the one with the "Mtorque" label is 40.00 E more. So the Mtorque removes the restrictions in torque in the lower gears? If the non Mtorque map doesn't remove the torque limit this isn't represented on the dyno chart. I don't know if that's lazy or misleading marketing.

I have a stock 2020 Streetfighter V4S and installed the Upmap T800 and downloaded the SFV4 20 OEM and the SFV4 20 OEM MTORQUE maps. The SFV4 20 OEM was free the other was $233 US.

My intention was to do a scientific-ish test and do the same 25 mile back roads loop with both maps. Switch between the two maps and do several 25 mile loops with each.

I did the first loop with SFV4 20 OEM.
My opinion is ….. Meh. Yes its smoother and fueling is better. But if this was there best tune I would be very pissed I spent the money.

Then I switched to the map that is supposed to eliminate the 1-4th gear restrictions. (SFV4 20 OEM MTORQUE)
Its abundantly clear that these restriction are now OFF.
As with any new bike “uncorking” by opening up the airbox, removing the cat with a slip on or full system, remapping, and turning off restrictions is something we spend time and money to do. Essentially in pursuit of the bike we wanted to purchase. I seem to do this with all my bikes over the years. Most recently with my Hyper 821 and it transformed the bike into what I wanted and originally hoped I purchased off the showroom floor.

I feel that the Torque Map on a stock bike gets this bike closer to what I wanted. It puts the Hooligan back in Hooligan Bike.

I’m sure other tuners will come up with better maps but for now pushing a map via a Bluetooth connection gets me 95% of what I wanted. I will be taking her to VIR later in the month and will see how the map in on the track.

As far as my scientific-ish comparison. I threw it out the window when I realized the bike will loft the wheel in 1-4th.( wheelie control off) No sitting way back and yanking on the bars. No cranking it up to 9k in order to experience the bonkers range. I was having to much fun and any experiments were pointless. I put another 150 miles on her and decided I would never go back to a non-restricted map.

I have no plans to dyno the bike and I’m sure someone will eventually do that. I am not looking for the 2% increase in numbers.

My dyno consists of my adrenal gland and my right wrist and I’m happy with my purchase.

So to do this you spend 299 E for the T800, the device which applies the flash, then an additional 199 E for the MTORQUE map you want? The MTORQUE being the ones which unlocks the throttle restrictions?

Yes I spent 299 E on the T800 and an additional 199 E on the MTORQUE map. The SFV4 20 OEM was free with a code when you purchased the T800. That code does not work on the MTORQUE map. That map is considered a “premium” map and NOT applicable toward your free map with purchase of the T800.

Yes it was expensive but I have spent a lot more money and time uncorking previous bikes. As of now I don’t feel I need to spend 2K on a slip on. I also don’t have to do any piggyback wiring or wrenching. You only need to remove two screws to take the back seat off and plug into the stock Ducati plug.

Yes after you pair the T800 with your bike it will prompt you to download a copy of the bikes original ECU code to the T800. This way you always have a copy of the original ECU code and can restore it back to original. I don't plan on changing maps so I did not leave the T800 installed on the bike. I took it off and keep it in a safe place so I always have an original copy of the ECU.

Dyno results.

Bike has Arrow slip-on, Sprint Race Filter, IIRC.

Stock Map
3rd Gear 191.91
4th Gear 197.26
5th Gear 200.73

Upmap Performance Map
3rd Gear 197.59
4th Gear 199.45
5th Gear 203.57

Upmap MTorque Map
3rd Gear 195.68
4th Gear 200.16
5th Gear 202.28

A lot of the numbers are in run to run variance but the UpMap Performance Map had the best numbers.

The dyno numbers put up by the DP Akra map on another YouTube channel aren't as impressive.

Stock 183 HP, with Akrapovic full system and flash 190 HP both are 5th gear runs.

4th was 179 HP stock and 166 HP after the flash and full system.

The DP Akrapovic map fixed the huge flat spot from 3500 to 8000 RPM as well. I think it was about a 30 HP gain there.

The torque limiting tables, what we could call that 1-4th gear torque limit isn't reflected in the dyno charts, save for the one from the second YouTube link. That one had a very noticeable flat spot at the top at 4th gear and only with the Akrapovic map.

If only the MTorque maps were to get rid of the throttle limitations, that isn't reflected on the dyno charts either. I have to agree with the guy in the first video, that the best performance seems to be with the Performance map especially considering it came free with the T800.

The Mtorque takes off the throttle restriction down low. If you freeze the video you’ll see the black line showing it from about 4k to 7k. That’s huge and just what this bike needs IMO. I should have my T800 in a day or two. Can’t wait to see how she rides after that. I have the full Akrpovic system with the up map and it’s no where close to how she should run.

I thought that low throttle restriction was an emissions/noise thing and the upper one was the wheelie limiting one.

Every map, be it the UpMap Performance, UpMap MTorque or Ducati Akrapovic removes the low end power dip. The guy in the first video makes the conclusion that the MTorque map didn't show any results worth the additional cost over the Performance map.

The low end dip is part of the torque limit and even with the Ducati Akrapovic up map its still there. I have the full ARK system with the map and the dip is definitely still present at this time. My hope is with the performance map or the Mtorque that dip is gone and from what I've seen and going back and forth with upmap it will be gone. The top end on these girl is fine in my opinion for what the bike is but the low end grunt and mid range blows. I even added 3 to the rear and now run a 520 conversion with 15/45. It made it a little better but all that's doing is masking the real issue.

I also need to decide, I got my UpMap-device today in the mail.
Can´t wait to try it out and download the map - since it´s one "free" (included as first download) with t800, should I go for the MTourque or the Performance? According to Bill there was no or very little difference between the two, but since one is free and the other one not, I think I´m gonna go with the free one and then wait for the Akrapovic map (since I have that installed) once it´s released.

Yeah that's most likely what I'll be doing also. When I talked to Upmap they said the will have the one for the Akr slip on soon but not the full system. They said there isn't a lot of bikes there with the full system available to them to tune.

Got the same information, and therefor I am quite happy with me having the slipon only (if there is a "only" considering it costs a fortune).
