Used Tri Color.

I have been thinking of a new 1199 and was thinking of an R. There is a used 2012 Tri color at my dealer with 5K miles and like new condtion.

They are asking 25, which I would 't pay, but should I consider around 22 or get something new. I will never use it close to its capasity just thinking that the R is better value.

value and ducati shouldnt be in the same sentence. if you want a 1199 get an 1199 but if you want value hp4 base. 20k will smoke any bike out there (AT ANY PRICE)

gotta agree...value is personal so impossible to quantify for others. Get the one you really want.

What would be a good price on the Tri?

If you get it at 22K you will be close to 10K less than what you have to shell out for a new R.

If money is no object, get the R.
