Found some new carbon bits for the Deuce. I went with the Matte finish still waiting on the glovebox cover, ignition switch cover and the chain guard. Also in today are the TWM adj. folding shorty levers with TWM Lever guard. Also on the menu for this evening are our Rizoma LED mirrors and the EvoTech trailer-hitch eliminator kit! (or was that for the 5th wheel?) Gone are the incredibly breakable " 'FRA-GI-LE'...must be Italian" mirrors...on with the show!

I got some crappy ones from MotoComposites. I’ll never buy anything from them again
The heel guards are very flexible and they’re prolly gonna crack off. I’m hard on my heel guards too, I use them to lock myself to the bike a bit and these ones don’t work. I’m thinking the DP ones will be better but also considering just getting some new rearsets setup for race shift

Sweet!

How do you like the mirrors?

So far all I've done is remove the passenger pegs. I needed my glorified, cone shaped washers and a lot of swearing, but I got it done lol. I have a tall windscreen on order too - hopefully I'll be able to actually get behind it without the top edge of it right in my line of sight.

Yeah, the stock heel guards were chopping up the stitching on my boots so I got these. We'll see after a good ride how I feel about them.as far as rearsets go I'm tippy toe to get full lock into the tank so I'm looking at the Ducati performance set. Feet def need to be higher.

I like the mirrors, they are clean and sturdy. They have a blue tinted glass and the LEDs are bright. I wanted these for a while and I wasnt happy with the NRC look on the bike. Oh, also, you can actually see out of these when riding

Wait. These mirrors are actually useful AND they won't break off by looking at them funny? *mind blown*

Too bad something similar doesn't come stock.

Haha, I know right?! I havent tried the helmet test yet, tho.
When you got these mirrors, what all did you have to order? The mirror and the mounting plate of course, but did you have to order a wire harness too? Or is the mirror plug and play from an electrical standpoint?

Adding these to my wishlist, but the rizoma site isn't all that helpful.

Ok, the mirrors come with unterminated wires and crimp on bullet connectors, so you either need to cut your original mirrors wires off and solder them to the Rizoma or get the adapter harness. Later on I will solder them using the harness connectors so I dont chop the stock ones. So...
I ordered the mirrors and front ducati signal harness from revzilla, the mounting plates I ordered from Ducati dealer, revzilla didnt have them. The front harness adapter comes packaged as for KTM/Husqvarna. Ducati uses the same two pin connector.
Rizoma Turn Signal Cable Kit KTM 1290 Super Duke R / Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 - RevZilla
The mirror mount adapters are same as the V4, the pix are generic for that one

Fantastic!

how ridged are those heel guards
So I went for that ride today...
I put the stock heel guards back on as soon as I got back. The right one felt non-existent, maybe like pushing against a stretched rubberband. As for the left, the swing arm was what I felt, backing up the "guard" making it feel like it had substance. I had to get a visual when i was riding to confirm what I felt...poopy! And for the stock pair, Gibraltar solid! compared...

yeah I put my factory ones back on. It’s a safety issue plus the one CF one was digging into my swing arm

See that's where I'm at! Oh well, cant upgrade everything. I just filed the edges down on the stock pair that were shredding my boots and I'm Good to go!
