V2 FullSix CARBON!!! (...and some other things)

Currently my "cruising" operating temp is 190s and up. Rarely I come on 210+.

I have a slip on, and currently breaking her in, resorting to the PCH up and down till the first service. It takes a toll on the enjoyment but it is what it is. Almost there anyway.

I was wondering if you had a infrared thermometer and if you at all measured the radiating heat to see what the CF does to help it. If at all.

Found some new carbon bits for the Deuce. I went with the Matte finish still waiting on the glovebox cover, ignition switch cover and the chain guard. Also in today are the TWM adj. folding shorty levers with TWM Lever guard. Also on the menu for this evening are our Rizoma LED mirrors and the EvoTech trailer-hitch eliminator kit! (or was that for the 5th wheel?) Gone are the incredibly breakable " 'FRA-GI-LE'...must be Italian" mirrors...on with the show!

Love carbon fiber. How does the matte finish hold up compared to gloss? Does it still have a clear coat to protect it from oil stains etc?

Thanks.

What is your opinion on the heat "issue"?
After riding a few hundred miles, although not mid summer weather, I would say that the heat started to get warm on the left side, but not annoying like it did with my 959.
Im satisfied for now.

Chris,

Are you still loving your Rizoma Veloce mirrors? Have you encountered any issues?

I’m planning on ordering a set once the parts are back in stock.

Thanks,

Hamish.

The mirrors are awesome. My ONLY issue, i need to move my elbow to see directly behind me. They are awesome and I will be getting another pair for my Supersport S as well. I like them.

Chris,

I'm trying to copy your Rizoma mirror setup. Can you clarify what you meant by "the mounting plates I ordered from Ducati dealer"? Doesn't the Rizoma mirror adapters come with everything you need or is the issue they're not make for the V2 so you have to fabricate a part?

Thanks,

Hamish.

These mirrors DO NOT come with everything you need.
You need mirrors, bike specific mounting plates and wire harness adapters.

Got it. Is the bike specific mounting plate a Ducati part? Any chance you have the part number?
I assume this is needed since Rizoma hasn't developed a kit for the V2 yet and the mounting plate is different from the V4?

V2/V4 are the same front mirror/signal. Everything is Rizoma, mirrors, mount, wires.
I don't remember the part #'s

EE047H 1set
BS822B 1set
BS305B 1pair

I have this setup too and can confirm it is as good as it gets for the traditional mirrors. I tried to love the grip/bar mounted mirrors but no go.

My mirrors are pointed so I can see right where my arm is in the riding position, and all I have to do is bend my elbow outward 6in and i can see way back to see who is coming.

Of course, NOTHING is as good as turning your head, which is always a part of the routine while switching lanes in traffic. For me at least.

Got this email from Rizoma this morning:

Thank you for your interest in our brand and for your inquiry.
We apologize for the delay but we delayed the reply to your email because today the fantastic Ducati V2 2020 entered in our R&D department for testing, which was in planning 2020 before the Covid 19 emergency.
We anticipate to you that to mount the Veloce L Sport mirrors you need:
  • Mounting kit sku BS822B qty 1
  • Wiring kit sku EE047H qty 1
In attached you can find the assembly instructions, for the mirrors electric connection follow SCHEMA 1
The bike will be online next month
