After Willow Spring, Chuckawalla, auto club, Sonoma raceway and Buttonwillow, there is a common observation I have wondering if matches everyone else who does OEM pads on track?

given I’m a mid pack Group A rider, sets the caliper alignment after front wheel changed.

Here it goes: after 5 or 6 laps, coming off track , the caliper or pads feeling “drag”? Not sure even if I am using the terminology correctly, but pressure still feels good not mushy. After cools down, before I go out next session, brakes went back to normal.

any thoughts?

Cant speak to this as I haven't even started my Panigale yet, let alone had it on track...but it may be as simple as the expansion of components caused by the heat generated. On my racebikes I run small springs on the brake pad guides that have enough pressure to keep the pads off the disc, but are easily compressed during braking. I do not believe the Stylema calipers have the rails to accommodate this. What kind of brake fluid are you running?

With my stock brake components except for bypassed abs lines, endless brake fluid, and vesrah pads, I was having to adjust my brake lever a fair amount throughout every track session. Using the Ti ventilated pistons, the lever never changes.

I found similar drag from the OE pads after coming off the track. Moved to SBS and after coming in off the track the front wheel would hardly move! Switched to Vesrah XX and love the bite and almost no drag when hot.

Completely normal with street pads, if you continue with street brake pads, your discs will become crooked ;-)
I use SBS DS-2 brake pads, with these you will never experience the above

understood...looks like everyone's census; the culprit are the pads... I've got a set of Z04 ready, I will put them with this oil change and ready for October riding.

let me try to set to different pads, and see how it goes...thanks for the inputs!

Good choice
Brembo Z04 are also really good brake pads they will do the same for you as the SBS DS-2 ;-)
