V4 heat

Can anyone comment on the heat that comes off the V4?
With some of you guys already having had a chance to see and ride the new bike I was wondering if it runs a little cooler from a riders perspective.

I went for a demo ride this past Friday and notice the heat on my right heel ankle area vs my 1199 I feel the heat under my leg to me v4 heat is similar to the 1199 is not a maker or breaker for me.

Why does every Ducati have a heat issue?

Does anyone who passes comment about it know how an internal combustion engine actually works?

I'm certain most of us understand the internal combustion engine, what some of us don't....is how does the competitors of Ducati keep the heat off the rider in ther high performance sport bikes ? The Panigale is quite exceptional in its heat issue IMO

I rode the V4S a couple weeks ago....incredible bike and has some heat for sure but an improvement over the twin version of the Panigale. Header does exit near right foot.

I could go on. There are loads more stories like this and it doesn't take a lot to find them.

These machines are pushing 200 bhp and they will get hot. You think the V4 with more horse power, using more fuel with thinner engine casings to save weight will somehow be cooler?

Wow I was unaware of this? I have a Blade and previously owned a few R1's but they were nothing like my Pani

The Dealer told me that the new V4 is much cooler to the feel for the rider and mentioned some story of superior cooling within the 4 pots.

With the R1 remove the cat and replace with a ypipe or gut it.

Got rid of 99% of heat.

I ran mine with no heat shield and would ride in shorts.

With the panigale you have the pipe coming right from the head to your leg almost, with the other i4 bikes exhaust gets cooled by passing air straight away.

I didn’t mean to sound harsh, but this subject does wind me up sometimes. The grass is no greener elsewhere.

Ultimately high performance comes at a cost, this is part and parcel whatever your manufacturer preference.

Fyi, the v4 is just as hot as the 1x99, if not hotter.

Heat isn't so awful. It's hot, that's for sure. It was about 70 out today. After some city and freeway riding, my legs we're getting uncomfortable if I wasn't moving. It starts on the left side, eventually moves to the right as well. I've only been on the bike four times because of weather, but that's what I've noticed so far.

And always laughed at it before I had it on my s1000rr, but heated grips are niiiiice

Have you got any roads in Alaska?..... I have it from a reliable source that blondes are a definite shortage?
