Have you ridden a Superleggera?
Sherpa23 I haven't yet. Is it fantastic? I did ride the BMW HP4 Race and it was a great bike but it doesn't have the low and mid like my 1299SA.

Thanks for the feedback. The RC51 is in my top 10 greatest bikes of all time...see my Ducati Killer video. But no surprise it's not the greatest track bike at almost 500lbs. As for V4 vs V2, ride an 1199/1299 and you'll understand what I'm saying. Your observation that there weren't many differences in the weight and ergonomics vs other 4 cyl bikes goes to reinforcing my point about how compact and nimble the 1199/1299 is. The V4 is a high speed track machine that prefers wide open spaces, long sweeping corners and straights, and requires spinning the engine up around corners to take advantage of the counter crack. That combined with more weight over the front-end makes for more work in the tight twisty canyons, which is most of my riding these days. The V4 is a rocket ship for sure, which is why most people bought it since the RSV4 is a superior and more intuitive, stable V4 track bike. I'm not saying I wouldn't love owning a Ducati V4. It's a blast. And if you're a Ducati devotee I get the justification. But i only have room for one supersport bike and the twin wins for my riding. And yes, when it's a 100 + degrees out here, I'm in tennis shoes and jeans.
