Just returned from Barber Motorsports park. My V4S first trackday! The bike was amazing!! So much easier to ride around the track then my previous bike. The bike wants to be pushed to the limit. Sadly I'm just not that capable.
One item of note, the bike was unstable while entering the braking zones under (what I think is) hard braking. The rear end of the bike did move around allot! I wonder if this is a setup issue? Or something I just need to get used to. I was not braking late by any means. But, I can say no one passed me under braking. My problem was corner speed and the fact that I do not want to crash a $30,000 dollar motorcycle.
I did a one man static sag check. So, I believe this may just be a setup issue. I also believe the 95nm rear spring rate is not enough for my rider and gear weigh (187lbs). I left the suspension in the dynamic mode. Engine mode was RACE. The Super Corsa SPs held up well. Road Atlanta is is next. She'll get a chance to really stretch her legs down the back straight.
I will caution everyone to be careful working around the swingarm area. You can easily drop stuff into the hollow case swingarm in the area where the shock passes through it. A rag works great.
Also when you drain the oil remove the exhaust shroud because oil will get on/in it. It puddles really badly in the bottom of the shroud.
