I have to say I don’t get it… especially after all this time. I think there is a danger of it going a bit Carlos fandango red callipers and the like, are the tyres still in date😉….. each to their own.

Fair comment Andy. Yes, there is always the risk of that but aside from the PPF film, that really is it now for this bike. It has perhaps been teetering on the edge of overkill for some time (if not already over it). I've still got the OEM calipers, if I decide these ones start to offend me, as I always like the option to revert back. This thread has a sell by date, that much I realise and so the next few days will see my last posts, before I draw a line under the project.

I think the effort and thoroughly thought out project has been executed well. Overkill or not, it's well done to your own taste and that's all that matters. Bike is super clean.

Some people build and some ride, same in any hobby. Its not uncommon for people to spend years building a boat, car etc then sell it once its complete because the enjoyment was in the build and that's ok.

Despite spending the past 48 hours in bed, it's amazing what a packet of Paracetomol will do, long enough at least for me to finish off the brakes, namely the rear caliper. Anyhow here are what a likely to be the last few pics of this thread, as to all intents and purposes, the bike is now complete. Feel like I have turned my chest inside out coughing, so I am off back to bed. Bloody Covid.

All that is left is to torque up the rear wheel nut and replace the locking clip (not pictured). Whilst the rear caliper is not really visible from the left hand side of the bike, I am quite pleased with how it peeps out between the rear wheel spokes, though I accept this is entirely subjective.

Finally complete. Nothing left now but to ride it.......roll on Spring!!

Oh no nothing subjective here, it is a beautiful bike! Get to feeling better and maybe stare at it until spring.

Amazing pics of the bike, but I'm curious too about the background. Is that a garage or workspace of some sort? The floor, the wall hangings, all adds to the view.

It's my garage. Part of a build project when we moved to the new house. Took around 5 months to build (largely due to Covid delays)

What an incredible build, amazing attention to detail. A lot of research went into getting all the correct parts from different manufacturers too. Fair play mate. 👍🏻

Having undergone open heart surgery and spinal surgery last year, I decided to treat myself to a new exhaust system. Had an hour to kill this morning so mocked up the D200 system on the bike with both silencer options. Angles may be off, as I lifted the system from another image, so it's not really representative of how it would actually look fitted, but for now it just gives me an idea of what to expect. I'm leaning towards the latter option. Still trying to find a way to integrate the rear bracket with the Evotech tail tidy, so I've approached a local engineering company for some guidance.

Just read this whole thread while my wife binge watched her tv show. Not a clue what the show was even about considering how jaw dropped I was seeing what you have done. Very impressed, The bike looks amazing. Nice touch with the magnesium frame color match looks very 916 as you mentioned .

I saw this post today on Reddit and here’s another option you can go with if you want to stick with termi exhaust. Thought it was pretty unique.

Also here is a clip of my current v4s setup with a spark full Ti system , the cans are stacked closer and shorter than the Akra type wheelbarrows , I too have ocd and didn’t like how they stuck out past the tail fairings . Also awaiting BST gloss carbon wheels to finish the build.

Ether way can’t go wrong with the one you mocked up above will look great as well!

Keep the post going! would love to see some outside sunlight shots showing off that frame color!

Glad to hear you’re recovering. Here’s hoping it continues. 🍻

Are the tips symmetrical? The look a bit off center
