Going to a track day at Sonoma Monday. A local dealer carries VP race fuel. Anyone have experience running it in their V2? Any benefit on the track. Other than suspension work and tires my bike is completely stock. Didn't know if this would effect air/fuel or anything else I might be missing. Open to suggestions...

I used the VP MGP with a different tune. Oxygenated, unleaded and I think around 94 octane (R/M). Other than that, I’m not qualified to give a better answer. My guess would be that it’s not going to make a difference in your application.

I used T4 in my 959, it was tuned for it. T4 is very popular fuel for track and mx. It but the type of Vp that you chuck in and get 10hp (mr12). It is good because you can leave it in the engine with Out any worry. T4 with our a tune will not be much of a gain other then your engine running really well with a slight boost pep perhaps.

I am currently running C12 in my V4R, on par with T4 just slightly better for big engine performance as suggested by my tuner.

I run T4 as it does feel more responsive than pump gas and it seems to hold up well to being left in the bike a while between track days.

Race fuel is pointless for the average track day participant in my opinion. There are probably a dozen rider focused items that can be worked on for going faster. Most Ducati riders aren’t that fast on a track for race fuel to really matter. Most people are losing time due to early turn in and not trail braking deep enough.

If you’re going run a higher octane fuel, you will want tuning to take advantage of it.

Having flash backs on that "can of doom" in the back of the van! I do plan on switching to T4 just to get the ethanol out of my bikes, that 55g drum probably makes my home insurance null and void!

I have a built-motor gsxr 750 track bike that’s tuned on VP u4.4. I was considering trying some in my 2015 Panigale R since it’s running the self-tuning Rapid Bike Evo. I emailed VP asking for guidance and this was the response:

“The U-4.4 is our best all around performance fuel...the MR-12 would make way more power but it’s a lot less user friendly.”
