Don't even try. You have to take the front fairing off. Which means you have to take the side fairings off and three of the center plastic bits. It's not going to be a quick job.

I recommend labeled envelopes for nuts/bolts to remind yourself of where everything goes back to at the end. And don't be surprised if you have a couple of extra washers at the end that fell out and you can't figure out where to put them back.

This was helpful for me when I first did it:

It "can" be done without removing anything at all besides the mirrors. I did mine without removing any part of the bike besides just the mirrors but those were coming off at the time anyway since I put on the DP blockoffs. Somehow, I managed to get it done but it took me a couple of hours and new inventions of some never before heard cuss words. Those damn Italians.

Valve covers safety wired.

Sage advice! Even with the low odds of not losing the rubber nuts I plugged in and lost them to the black void.

Took side fairings off and tried to get the front one off but ran out of time/light so put them all back on (wasn't a wasted job as cleaned behind and the left side fairing sits slightly more snug now since when I changed lithium battery out.)

Some long wooden food skewers should be added to the tool list for this job to fish the rubber nuts out if not removing front fairing. Went the superglue route - recommend using the strongest stuff you can find because it can't turn on the back of the shield else you need to start again.

Funnily I found putting the side mirrors back on the easiest part of the job. Some advice is to push the bolts through the fairing, shield and gasket first and only then line up the mirror assembly.

Will try and post up some pics when I have a moment but agree this is a time consuming job whatever route you take.

Went for a ride and up to 150 miles total since I bought it three weeks ago. Getting used to the controls and feel of the bike. If its warmer tomorrow I'll see if I can get to 200 or so. Its about 50 now so I dont want to go far.

Went for a ride this morning - Tujunga, Mulholland, Decker, PCH. I love this bike now more than ever.

2,900 miles and my front tire is toast, but my rear looks like it could go another 1k.

In the winter the heat off the Panni engine on my rear feels pretty good! Worst offender was my RC51, thst thing roasted your nuts and your right ankle.

What I did for my Panigale today was re dial my suspension in on my 16 R.

Front pre load - 39mm
Compression - 25 clicks out
Rebound - 12 clicks out

Rear Pre Load - 30mm
Compression - 12 clicks out
Rebound - 14 clicks out

Just installed the first production MC Carbon mud flap cover with the hornless and CNC triple configuration.

Added the Rotobox Boost and converted to GP shift then took her down to Miami to test them out at homestead speedway. 1st session was very interesting to say the least lol
