EvoTech Dash Protector

Today I installed the new EvoTech dash protector on my race pani (STRU-002)
This one is anodized in red, a silver one goes to my SL.
Looks great...

Exhaust was last week but love the startup imagery now with race upmap

Interesting that your display shows Racing EVO. I've asked two different dealers why my 1299 Anniv doesn't show Racing EVO. They both assured me my upmap is installed and the display doesn't show Racing EVO anymore (at least on the Anniv).

To be clear. You've had the exhaust installed and upmap? I also get an oil banner at startup that tells me how many miles until oil service (6800 miles right now)

Yes. Fuel Akra system with upmap installed (allegedly). I bought the bike OOS because I was late to the Anniv party and couldn't find one locally. When I got the bike home, I noticed I didn't have the Racing EVO message so I called and ask the dealer where I bought it. They said they installed it and it won't say Racing EVO. I was skeptical, so when I took the bike in locally for the 600 mile service, I took the upmap with me and asked them to confirm. They said upmap is installed.

I thought it was weird that an 2017 bike made before your FE would not flash that message, but yours does considering the pre Anniv bikes had the message too.

Mine does briefly indicate when the next oil service is like yours does.

Sounds like it's Installed. But yes that's odd.

That said, isn't the sound and power just incredible?

Yes it is. This thing rips at pretty much any rpm, and it has a ton of character that the L4 bikes I've owned couldn't touch. I will own other bikes, but it's hard to imagine ever letting this one go. I don't have visions of it being some kind of collector's piece, but these are the last of twin superbikes.

When I first bought mine I had the upmap and slip-on that came with the Anniversario installed by my dealership. It did not show the "Racing EVO" splash screen. It wasn't until I had the header installed which came with a new upmap that the "Racing EVO" screen appeared. Sounds like it may be the slip-on upmap that is installed on yours and not the full system upmap.

Interesting point. I have both keys. Is 98510301A the slip on or full system key? I wonder if the dealer got them mixed up.

Slip on map should just say "racing". Full system says "racing evo". If you don't get either one, it may not be installed.

I will look when I get a chance. I marked on the boxes which is which.

My Ducati tech said he has to contact Ducati and have the fob to update the map. And they keep track. So if it had to be reinstalled they have to contact Ducati to get it reactivated.

Thus a good Ducati tech should be able to read your bike and contact Ducati to know what's installed. Don't let them give you lip service. Should be straight forward [emoji106][emoji2533]

Mine says "Racing". I have both the slip on and the full system key. I took the full system key to the local dealer at the break-in service, and they said it was installed. If it's a one time upload, perhaps that is the reason the local dealer thought it was already installed. Maybe they don't know what they are talking about. I'll likely try another dealer.

Just got done finishing up another custom. 16R motor/electronics everything else is race parts, custom built parts, tons of carbon and titanium. Zero plastic parts anywhere on this bike.

Switched to race mode for some back roads fun yesterday......just as I was about to open it ....took a look behind me and a sheriff deputy appears out of nowhere.....then he trails me for three miles as I did the limit. But long as he was trailing me, I hoped that another rider in the area was able to have fun. Good road too, two lanes in the country with nice fresh new pavement! Super smooth, just what race mode needs. Stopped for gas, then went the other direction he was going...then I had fun in race mode.

I got home got bored...machined up some billet covers for my base, anodized them in red to match the bike. I did this a few weeks ago, I made little covers for the clutch and brake reservoirs, (weight is almost nothing) I wanted to buy red .... for the bike after returning with those Benjamin Franklin's but Ducati SA closed the Ct shop and now dont have accessories on offer.

I made the covers for the front suspension setting to hide the scratch marks i made while adjusting the front end.

Had I known I would have stopped over in the UK on my return and gone mad.
