What Did You Do For Your Panigale Today?

if i pull the lowers to put it on, ill end up screwing with something else that doesn't need screwing with.

Why don't you just part it out and start a V4 build, then the rest of us can have some of your tasty bits to add to our old V2 shitboxes.

LOL Im trying to do a 4 but the motivation is a bit behind right now. Im actually quite "OK" with the 99s. If you build the bike right, its a pretty nice platform. I learned a lot building the two 1299s and the V4 is a bunch easier as the cross pollination of parts helps and the development time seems much less. There was a lot of prototyping on the first 99. A lot of hand made pieces and making things work then the whole "guinea pig" for the CDT stuff. My only real gripe with the bike was and is the electronics/electrical system. Its garbage from a quality and modification perspective. Thats the only thing on the 99s I didn't build but i do have a full aerospace spec wiring center now that I could build custom harnesses. Still the inability to hack the ECU/BBS interface and customize it would still be there so I don't know. As far as the bikes themselves go they put out way more power than I could ever use and they don't weigh much. Yea you can get more power and speed out of the 4 but I came to the conclusion that Im just not that skilled like all the others bad ..... talking a out how much more HP they can get out of the 4 hell my Graves R6 scares the crap out of me at times so the 99s are not at all "out to pasture". Put a real radiator in it, a good electronics package and tune it (correctly) get the suspension sorted, toss the masters, get a decent set of pegs bla bla and your still top notch. The guys chasing gimmicks and numbers that have zero significance to them in the real world, well they will always be there. Able you have a great bike (no gimmicks, all business)and you are a good rider. No upgrade needed my friend. A 4 build for me is just a project to tinker with parts and some tech.

Let me know if you ever do the custom wiring hardness. :D

I know you mentioned this before, but which radiator you recommend for track only and no fan. :)

YoungR, I think Mick1976 and I are going to play with the harness first of the year. We have all the factory connectors now and a pretty good hack for the ECU/BBS we will be able to remove at the harness all of the things we now need plugs and resistors for including the ABS pump if desired which will make for a much more compact harness. On the radiator. I have the all water from MAC on the 2 99s. Track radiators if you can spend the $$, Febur is a nice direction and thats the only "race"radiator for the 99 that i have played with. That being said, I hear good things on the H20 as well. MAC makes a race kit as well although I here conflicting "customer service" chatter and i did have to mod most of the stuff I got from then to make it what I needed it to be,

Hey Yong

If you decide different radiator setup the Galletto/H2o one piece sbk setup be a good choice or the MAC version but quality is not as good as H2o plus getting stuff from Mac is hard.

Stocking up on connectors and .... as we speak

Endodoc definitely interested in keeping up with your progress on this as well.

Installed Apex Racing Development ignition switch delete harness with 4 button switch on right bar in place of the 3 button I previously had on there.

Haven't post in a while. Few things done. Got a new custom axle made, Motoholder sub installed (thanks to Twistedracer), new tires, and few maintenance things.:D

Nice. Is that from Brad? Was debating on going that route with the forks and he mentioned that they make the axle. No doubt that's an amazing setup. I just don't want to change my upper triple. Lol

I had it made from FastFrank by Frank. Highly recommend. Axle and spacers.

Hi,
Are you still testing? Is there any chance that this will be made available to purchase? I am really interested...
Thanks!
