He has an 1199s. No auto blip downshift on those so most likely adding it on with Rapidbike.

Carbon upper chain guard. Without the right tools I bet it would be a real pain to install without removing the chain.

I did it with just a regular hex L-wrench...took like an hour and about 2 years off my lifespan.

2019 rear version soon ready. "Much" lighter and shinier then before.
Adhd dictates project on the front also..

Manufactured some countersunk M4 Titanium bolts for the fuel cap and secured the fuel pump using safety wires.

Very nice!
I have the same cap, the included bolts are junk!

@SpartanGA: Cap is from MotoCorse. Superlight but a bit tricky for installation.

@stealthblack: If you want I can make you these three bolts plus the 4 bolts underneath in Titanium. USD 23.- (shipping from Switzerland included). PM me if you're interested.

Very cool. I have the same cap. Have to get around to fitting one day.

Fork Horror

This weekend I started to convert the suspension on my race Pani.

Switching from electronics to mechanical setup with brand new Oehlins cartridges.

The bike is from 2012 (my beloved Tricolore). I never did any service to the forks. Fork worked well I thought and I never had it leaking.

Wow, I was shocked! Instead of some hydraulic fluid, the only thing left in the forks was some black squishy stuff. And one of the tubes threaded into the fork feet was rusty at the thread. It took me hours to get the foot off.

Conclusion: Do the fork service on the Panigale regularly!

Next things: new triple clamp and tappered roller bearings...
