What Did You Do For Your Panigale Today?

There are times when a thermostat might not be a bad thing. I got an all water H2O from a member here and I have the Febur manifold.

Went for a ride today and the water temp hovered around 135-140 with a 63-65 F oat. Might have to make a removable temp shield and block a portion of the rad. What’s too cold?

That’s a good 30 to 40 degrees below where it would normally be.

ideally, the engine temp needs to be high enough to cook the moisture out of the oil. The oil needs to be in the 180-200F range.

porsche used to print bearing wear vs oil temp in the owners manual in the early 70's.

coolant can pass through the radiator too fast thus thermostats serve a dual purpose.

If you have a clear clutch cover, which I do, this will make perfect sense. At times, especially when it’s been cold and sitting for a while, at start up the cover has a lot of condensation until the engine gets hot and oil flowing. Then the white looking condensation on the glass burns off. After seeing this the 1st time I no longer do warmup starts when I’m not going to ride it.

Mick76 I think you should shut you fat mouth and quit trolling people. You piss on others for posting useless .... in a thread,
Look at you.

I've done a couple of things over the past couple weeks. Had the bike dyno tuned at the local shop. I see the result are a little shy of what some of others have posted, but realize that could be down to different dynos on different days. I am happy with the power and the improved drivability. Plus they lowered the fan temps and all the other little tweeks you get from an ECU flash.
Also, and I imagine some of you will disapprove, I changed out the tail section for an 1199 version that I sourced from ebay. I really like the look better and I like that I can more easily swap out the solo cowl for my tail bag that attaches to the passenger seat.

While we talk about dyno tuning, my bike got done by MRP in Maryland and these are output numbers without adjusting ignition timing tables.

Some of the cells in my R upmap ignition map were a lil nutz. Termi threw 45° of timing at it here n there. Not at wot but still not too cool. 12.5 to 1 pump gas motor

.... Vespa I see you got it all covered on all ends good job how many profiles you got on here 2? 3?

Well Kenny at MRP tuned each cylinder separately as how it should be done. I told him from get go I am interested in smooth power curve not outright power. He did ask me do I want him to go through ignition timing tables, where he said we can find few more hp's. He also said bike is beast as it sits, so my response was no need to do that I am happy as it is...

Now I could be seeing things and maybe someone else wants to chime in and set me straight but I thought Mick76 quit the board and yet, here he is, AGAIN. How many posts are there? "I'm outta here" "This place is a horror show" "Anyone want to get a hold of me, its offline" "These guys have no business messing with these bikes". Strange individual.

Lets see the torque curve. That’s where you can tell how smooth it’s gonna be

Think the best way to flatten the curve has got to be with exhaust and cam timing, (followed up w proper tune)

whatcha think?

I couldn't find it. didn't someone on here have a radiator fan upgrade? I may need to replace mine.

Pay attention folks vesparacer is same person as endodoc. Why are people creating 2-3 profiles on here what a joke.
