Ya I can't say enough about Dave Moss. He's set up my bikes at all the track days I've had in Calif. The guy just knows it and can say it in few words with logic and depth. He reads tires, and makes tweaks that shave chuncks off my lap times. F'ing wizard that guy. Bike feel goes from tool, to wings.

btw the only other carbon I am going to use is the front fender so if anyone wants factory R carbon it’s 50 cents on the dollar. Hmu

They were custom but I had ran off 12 sets so the last few sets sold over a year ago. They were two machined plates with the correct channels machined for the oil ports.

Nice!

Thanks for the info, i might give it a try.

If you do I would put a o-ring groove around the oil passage. Otherwise whatever sealer you use could either get in the oil passage restricting flow or blow out causing catastrophic engine failure and/or a wreck!

The black hose is only there to lessen the load on the plastic pump drive gears and the pump bushing while the t-stat is closed. It is not required once the t-stat has been deleted. It routes hot engine temp coolant to the cold side of the radiator making it harder for the cooling system to do it’s job.
*That passage should be blocked off once the prone to fail t-stat is no longer part of the system

Hi! Why would u wan't to delete the thermostat? Isn't it there for a reason? Why would they put it in if it's not needed?

Don't know. But u think it's wise to remove the thermostat? Any benefits?

I ques it will take longer for the engine to warm up which to me sounds like a downside.

No longer having any plastic tubes in the cooling system is one benefit. So is being able to delete the bypass hose that was routing hot coolant to the cold side of my radiator. But extended warm up is not the only issue presented when deleting the thermostat. The t-stat also increases dwell time so the rate which the pump pumps coolant should also be adjusted

There are times when a thermostat might not be a bad thing. I got an all water H2O from a member here and I have the Febur manifold.

Went for a ride today and the water temp hovered around 135-140 with a 63-65 F oat. Might have to make a removable temp shield and block a portion of the rad. What’s too cold?
