What do you think of 195Hi Mode?

Interesting points.

The wheelbase is only 7mm longer than 199, so not sure whether this is really relevant? i.e. is the impact only minor? On the other hand the weight distribution here is now 52 front/48 rear, compared to 50/50 with the 1199. Maybe that adds something.

The wheelbase is only 7 mm longer (still relevant) but the swing arm is something like 39mm longer. That and the revised weight distribution are what make the difference in feel, I think.

Isn't it possible to change sport mode to 195Hi, and get the advantages of the less aggressive throttle mapping?

Or am I dreaming this?

Man you are right again, swing arm length, this is the real advantage.

So do you you mean axle to axle, the length is 7mm longer, but the forward pivot point of the swingarm is 39mm further forwards?

Sorry all I know this is slightly off topic, but it's an interesting tangent ...

hahaha, i always ride full geared. hit a sheep at 100kph with my first bike.

You shouldn't be riding so fast down Collins Street !!! It can be dangerous in a city like Melbourne with all those sheep running around.

When someone hits a kangaroo in George Street, in Sydney, we'd be going no faster than 50 or 60 kph !! So much safer up here

I hit a kangaroo in George st the other week in my car and I was only doing 65. They are everywhere now. They're breeding like rabbits. :D

back on topic - switched to sport mode a few times back and forth yesterday, find the throttle response too soft. it even nearly stalled in the beginning in 1st gear. (not sure if mode-related). I just think 195 HI is the direct link from brain to power

Love to hear what RPM your shifting at from 1st through 4th
I just don't feel the front ever try to come up.

I did change dtc to 1 but have not tested that setting yet.

I'm a noob by the way! Thanks for any info
Just want to understand when and what I should be feeling.
