RSR Racer ?

He used to post a lot and had an S then an R and also bought a Bayliss. Had the big online fight with Elitesoldier357 and now both have disappeared.

did RSR sell up his bikes or just got pissed off with the forum ?

I wonder.

He is actually a very good guy and as Mark said they get together alot and yes he still has bikes, the guy could afford two SL's if he wanted them too!

he was actually on the list for the SL and gave it up. felt the sl wasnt special like the desmo . its basically an r with carbon body work.

i know what the sl is. please jesus man!!!!! to me its not worth it. its a fancy R. do you get a different engine no do you get anything different in suspension that the r doesnt have no. id rather have an r and an hp4 and keep the change to each their own. i ride my bikes often. i cant extract what it could do. so to me its not worth it. so am i wrong because i dont think the sl is worth it? or is it im wrong cause i dont agree with you? its my opinion. the sl is a fancy r. engine same bodywork carbon. some mag parts akra exhaust no thanks on the price.

riddle me this. brand new desmo and brand new sl which one you take?

your attempts at negative attention on this forum are peculiar...

to learn more about the differences (OTHER THAN just 'carbon fiber bodywork') please head over to the Ducati - Bikes, Equipment, Accessories, Racing, Company, Dealer - Official Site Ducati website and click the SL link...

and i'm sure you of all people know about opinions and who has them, right ¿ ¿ ¿

YOU ARE WRONG.

ok whatever you say the sl isnt worth it to ME and its the same as the R to ME with carbon body work ok some Ti bolts. i am not the only one that thinks that. i dont care what a website says or what you say nor am i trying for negative attention on the forum. i will say again I DONT THINK THE SL IS WORTH IT . to me the price doesnt justify what you get. doesnt mean you have to feel that way nor anybody else but it doesnt mean you are anymore correct than me.

opinions mark are not FACTS. what you "think" or "feel" is one thing, but to make erroneous statements and call them facts is at best disingenuous.

i could easily go point by point and show you, but that'd be futile....

perhaps after perusing the specs you'd take an actual test ride and then 'opine' and we'd have what we'd call an informed opinion....

i am not commenting from a place of opinion or feeling....certain people here clearly are.... why bash the SL???

and to answer your q: i'd pick the SL over the desmo every single time! and i know you would too (if it were a matter of ride experience vs. collectability/exclusivity)....

you could also say that my R is just an S with some extra bits on it a la the SL vs R, but you know that too would b disingenuous...and i would never claim to be expert enough to extract the full performance of my bike, or anywhere near it...

the SL is completely different.

so why the heck didn't RSR get one just for the heck of it.

hey, what happened to onearmban .... nevermind...

Gents. Cmon. Enough is enough.
If its gonna go back n forth like this take it to a PM please. Its not worth all the time and words you guys are putting out together.

Settle down ladies

no need to settle down quack . people have different opinions thats fine but dont tell me My opinion is wrong. if my opinion is the sl is a fancy r thats my opinion.

just cause i am not a ducatisti and dont think everything they do is good or worth it doesnt mean its wrong it means its my opinion.

my money i buy an R and an hp4 over the sl any day of the week and twice on sunday. (never understood that comment) the only reason i dont have an R is because they didnt offer one. the mistake i made was not getting the tri. it is IMO the best 1199 out there period. (rectifying this very shortly as i will have)

so now am i wrong because i dont think the R is better than the tri. yes i like the color scheme on the tri and its more rare. personally i have never seen a tri on the rode EVER. (just gunny's but that doesnt count cause i go to his house) however i have seen many Rs. hell i have even seen the sl on the track.
