What would you do?

I tend to agree. It's a lot of money and you should get exactly what you want. If I was buying a used compact car and they offered me a deal on a turd brown one I'd prob take it, but this is a different animal.

I read "turd brown", then looked at your avatar pic, and then threw up a little in my mouth. :)

Quick -- someone post that chic's butt again!

Hey guys, I really need your advice. I just received delivery on my Pani S demo bike as listed in this thread:
http://ducati1199.com/new-users/3383-greeting-frozen-minnesota.html

Long story short. They sold it to me as an ABS model, but it turns out its not - their mistake. Since this is a demo bike (hense used, and slightly reduced price), they can't just swap it for a new model w/ ABS.

I don't know what to do now. I really wanted ABS, espeically after reading that most people recommended having it. I can return the bike for a refund, but I'm torn since I got a good price on an S model w/ Termi's. However, I could go buy a band new base w/ ABS, put on Termi slip-ons and still be cheaper in price. So I ask, what would you do? While I have raced on the track, and do ride hard, this will be a street bike and probably never see a track. Is having a used S w/o ABS worth it compared to having a base W/ ABS for similiar price? Thanks.

Send it back ask for a refund, and ask them to send one of these rubber riding outfits along with the replacement...

Dude.... RETURN THE BIKE! Get full refund. At this point, seems like everything is shady on the dealer's side.

Good to know.

At this point I've all but decided to return it and go from there. What I never mentioned was this is the 2nd bit of drama with this bike. See those dealers pics on posted on the previous thread -- the ones displayings the Termi's? Those were the ones listed on their website from the page advertising the bike (and what lead me to come in and check it out). Well, when I got to the dealer the stock pipes were put back on. When I inquired they said the pics were old, but they were happy to "sell" me the used Termi's. I refused. After further phone calls/discussions they agreed to put the Termi's back on, but I had to pay the $200 installation.

Now this. And for the record, I saved the page from their website with the listing (lists price, pics, etc). It clearly says "2012 Panigale S ABS". I'd post a screenshot but I haven't spoke with the dealer yet today to see what they have to say and don't want to stir the pot (in the event they read this forum).

Elmera...get a full refund!!!

Just get that "brand new" Base with ABS...slap on your slip-ons and other mods like Ohlins adjustable steering damper and some DP carbon parts...then you will be a happier Panigale rider.

Then, eventually save up for BST carbon wheels or Gold Marchesini Forged wheels!:D

Send it back and buy one with ABS. May save your life one day.
