I know some of us on here are lucky enough to have multiple bikes, so my question to you and everyone else is, Whats the perfect second bike?

Do you want a 1290 Superduke R to rip around on, or a supermoto to terrorize the street, maybe a Harley or XDiavel to cruise?

Since the weather has been crap in the PNW lately I've had this discussion with a few people lately about this. I just like to see what people choose and their motives behind it.

interesting topic. I think many members in the forum have 2nd or even 4 bikes.

I currently only have R and I use it for the track duty. I wouldnt ride it on the street. I do however, like the idea and enjoyed having every day bike that I ride to work or school.

As 2nd bike I had (in USA):
2012 Harley Iron (sold) and it was low and easy to ride.
2012 Pani S (sold) - upgraded to R but had it for a while
2014 Ducati Streetfighter - friend's bike I borrow for little bit. Enjoyed it.

I was thinking about buying:
Diavel (leftovers)
Monster
XDiavel
New Triumph Bobber?
Honda Grom
MTS

Not in a position to post a picture tonight, but I also have a 2016 BMW S1000R and a 2015 BMW 1600 GT. I put about 8000-9000 miles a year on each of the BMWs (18,000 total for them) and 4,000 a year on the Ducati.

nice, I have had a few, right night I have my R and a pikes peak multi, I average around 17,000 miles a year split between my bikes. I had a monster R and I loved that bike, but I always wanted the multi. When I got an awesome deal on the pikes peak I jumped, I want to go for a few long distance trips and as most have said, its a superbike that you can knock a ton of miles out on.

Perfect #2 and 3

Adventure, touring and general duties - Triumph Tiger 800xc
Single trail - Sherco 300 SEF-R Factory
Just don't want too many bikes again, had 6 last year not including the kids trail bikes.

I got a 2016 BMW S1000RR that I will switch out on. Its definitely more suited for the street than the 1299s but I still enjoy hearing the V-Twin roar through the mountains more.

Sometimes I consider buying a 998S or R, just to relive the old days. However, I have a sneaky suspicion that I view it through rose tinted spectacles and it was in reality a heavy lump that didn't turn particularly well but sounded awesome. Maybe good for Sunday morning blasts around?

Either that or I want to try a hypermotard for a bit of a change and do wheelies everywhere..

my perfect second bike is the panigale. as everyone knows the hp4 destroys the panigale in every single way. actually its the perfect third bike.

hp4
zx6r track bike
1199s

You should try a 1299S instead. I hate myself for responding.

Pretty fond of the 1290 SD. When you add the Akra full system it sounds and runs real nice.

Still love my BMW HP2 Enduro for Baja runs and more too.

#1 1199SL for Meetings and Starbuck-like events
#2 1299S Anniversario for Commuting
#3 1199S for Track

#2 in the future: My Husaberg 650FSe, but I still didn't finish the bike. Still 115kg, waaayyy to heavy!

I like your bike stable the most. :D

I have a 1299s for the street and an r6 for the track , but I'm considering a wr250r for a second street bike.
I rode a wr250x a few times and albeit slow as .... I could enjoy the R on some dirt trails, crappy roads , and rainy days.
