Whats your perfect #2 bike?

Ducati Forum

#1 is the Paul Smart which is now going to be used for rare dash through the twisties to the coffee house

#2 is the Panigale for twisties and track.

No commuters. They're just toys for me.

I have three, see my sig. The S1krr is my track bike but, the other two really serve the same purpose; (street riding and commuting). However, I really would like to add a Diavel to my stable and use it for commuting and 200+ mile trips.

Interesting that you have pretty much top Euro bikes in your garage. I know each bike has its character but you like the S1Krr the most at the track? specific or particular reasons?

Having a blast on this thing...prefect for commuting and riding around town.

It's not as much "like", as more/better prepared compared to the other two. The two Italians are blinged out with custom paint, lots of Carbon Fiber and other goodies whereas the S1K is not. I has a belly pan, crash protection, wire tied goodies and other track specific items. So it's just more/better prepared for track duty than the other two.

Thanks for that.

Then, if other 2 were similar preparation and you can only take 1 to track duties , what you take? same or different?:D

I'm blessed to have a few great ladies in the garage..... my long haul go to and cross country bike is my ZX14 with 196 rwhp and a 30 shot of NOS I hit 203.46 in Loring ME and my ZX10R full Ohlins and BST wheels track bike.... but my every day around town sweet hart is my 1290 Super Duke! Love this girl! She's like a dirt bike with a big block! Lol

Nice collection you have there!

I have a 1299s for the street and an r6 for the track , but I'm considering a wr250r for a second street bike.
I rode a wr250x a few times and albeit slow as shit I could enjoy the R on some dirt trails, crappy roads , and rainy days.

Yes man needs to get dirty sometimes, it's incredible how your track riding improves after extended riding on the trails.

Nice topic
My perfect second bike is a DM Minibike with a 50cc BZM engine
Loads of fun

The 1199 isn't in the same league as the 1299, that's quite closed minded

its the same bike if you have a 1199 its basically the same thing not worth the upgrade. obviously if you dont have either bike the 1299 would be the one to get or you could save over 10k and get a used 1199 or leftover. values drop like rocks on these things.

you get hazard lights and an auto blipper.

& the IMU which allows vector braking and wheelie control

plus way different engine characteristics (i heard)
