Well you two are boring lol. Jk. I own a hyper you rode one?

I haven't ridden a hyper.. I've always been interested in them but just have never bothered because i thought it would be too.. 'dirtbike-y' .. would you agree?

Pretty impressive. Thats why I have an RSV4 on its way to my door. This is interesting from the article, "The engine mapping and electronics can be tailored on track, corner by corner, via GPS to your preferences".

Ha ha!! So you're going to sit in the pits and map out the electronic response corner-by-corner? I love electroncis doo-dads, but that's to much even for me to want.

Not me Jarel. I said it was interesting. I came up on a deal for a 2013. always wanted one.

Yeah, didn't really mean "you" personally more "you" generically, as in "who in their right mind wants to sit in the pits mapping out each corner on the electronics?" :D It's a novel addition to the bike to put professional racing electronics package with it, but at the end of the day it's just a gimmick to bolster the spec sheet.

Not really. Its upright more than a sf but it likes to be thrown around and flogged. Demo one. Its a def fun change of pace bike.

I just bought my 2012 Tricolore last month and i'm looking forward to enjoying it for a good few years yet.
The new specs for the 1299S are nice but not enough for me change next year.
Like a few others have said, it would probably be the next major model update (if it looks and rides great) that will draw me into a deal.
DQS up/down may make things a little too Playstation/XBox but i'm sure we wont want to revert back once we have it. I certainly loved the DSG gearbox paddle shift on my Audi TT back in the day.
By the time my lad starts riding bikes he'll find it nuts that we had to use a manual clutch with a left hand and shift gears with a left foot.

Says the guy putting a Marelli system on his 899 next year.....:D

I'm still torn as to what I want to do. Either a 1299 base or a leftover 1199 Tricolore or S model.

Like the idea of 1299's new features and added power, but i still like the overall designs of the 1199 in comparison.

I suppose it will depend on the deals to be had. If a leftover 1199 is to good to pass up then I may go that route and buy a new 1299 in a year or two.

I love my 2013 Tricolore and have no plans to change. I don't track anymore, so no use for the R. An extra 80 or so CC's just isn't enough for me to switch. I like the mods I've done to the Tri and have no real desire to start over.

I will enjoy the new models vicariously through all you gents that will take the plunge and no doubt trick out the 1299!!! It gives me something to look forward to.

Yes!! Please trade in your slighty used 1199's for 1299's. I would like a white 1199 but if the deal is too good to pass up on a left over '14 base, I'm going to go that route.

I want the SL kit for my '13R. Everything else is already on the market. Auto blipping and/or wheelie control, well maybe I should learn how to use my wrist first...lol.

Keeping my 1199s for the long haul.... My RapidBike Race module transformed my Panigale into a smoooootttthhhh machine....

1299 kit......n then whatever the next full redesign ducati superbike is....i dont do small updates n whatever is new from last year

Talked to my local dealer today and decided to put deposit on new 1299!

Just couldn't resist, with all the upgrades it just makes the most sense.:D
