Talked to my local dealer today and decided to put deposit on new 1299!

Just couldn't resist, with all the upgrades it just makes the most sense.:D

S or base? I put deposit on the S model.

Think I'm going base man. It's more than enough for what I'll do with it.

Biggest reason though is that we're planning to buy a new house next year and the wife wants a new bike herself.

Guess neither of us is buying the Tricolore now!?! Stay outta my head!

Yeah I hung up the Tri when I heard Ohlins Active Moto GP suspension, does cartwheels when I gas it and brings my breakfast in bed. It has everything I want and more. I can't find anything I don't like or would want to change from it.

Ok, I'm THING 1 your THING 2

Deposit on R..."A group...5 minutes!"

How much do they ask for a deposit in general?

I will go for the 1299S... I want a red ducati so bad, always had whites, but I'm sure I'll regret if they release a tri color or black one... Sucks we won't have much choice in April.

Most dealers are $500 to $1k for a deposit. Give your local a call and ask them. Or you can pay it in full for the deposit.

I was going to put down $1000 but my dealer said $500 was fine.

Tell her when my S gets in, I'll sell her my Hyperstrada dirt cheap. Serious dude.
That would be cool! ;)

She wants a cafe racer though. I was hoping she'd be down for a 899, imagine how cool would that be!?!:D

That would be cool as hell. Chicks that ride are the best chicks.

At least she's on board for the 1299, considering I just bought the new ZX14R only 5 months ago and am looking to sell already for the Ducati.

That's why I had to bribe her with a new bike of her own 1st!

Though 2015 would be my return to Ducati (after a year now) , looking like I am going to go with the R1M though. The 1299 looks to be an amazing bike for 2015.

Just got the prices for here and the answer looks like it will be a used 1199 or 1199s.
The retail on the 1299 is:

Base - $30,700
S - $37,000
R - $49,750

Just not worth it!

Seattle those are UK prices here is US originally posted by Jarel.

1299 - $19,295 MSRP
1299S - $24,995 MSRP
Panigale R - $33,995 MSRP

1299 and 1299 S in RED only to start with.

Haha I was going to say... Ducati just shot themselves in the dick with that one. Glad to hears it's still just slightly the most expensive sports bike out there.

Yeah. All bikes are stupid expensive here unfortunately. We get UK prices plus some extra taxes on top to depress us further!

The one superleggera sold here cost $91,000

That doesn't seem fair..

Im glad they stayed with the current price. Here soon jap and german bikes will cost as much as a ducati. Hell there now 4k less instead of 9k.
