You are completely wrong. I more than most understand the historical clusterf**k that the middle east is. We're not innocent I get that, all this driven by oil and greed. The crusades weren't enough for the British, the true architects of this mess. Then they had to sign Sykes which broke Lawrence's heart. He'd been duped and by then knew better but no one would listen. Next instead of Israel the British should have given the Jews New Zealand, but despite all that, a lot of this is the ongoing Sunni/Shia BS. I've read the Koran, this did not come from Muhammed. He did not want his followers to be killing (or even abusing, regardless of sex) one another. And his position on the treatment of vassal states is pretty clear. My view of Islam is the same as H.G. Wells, truly advanced versus Christianity at the time it was written. I have literally read the beginning of the Koran to ignorant knuckleheads and asked them to identify the source. Not a one was ever close. The US enabled the Saudi's, and they brought a militant violent form of Islam to consolidate their power. Isis was/is induced by this. If I were king, I'd go to the Iranians and tell them we will no longer arm your enemies and if aggression is brought against you, we will be your allies. For this you must stand down. Make good on that promise and then take the position that we will never again support any aggressor in the middle east.
