Looks like the beautiful exposed rear shock absorber is now gone :(

Still not saying I'm crazy about it, but for some reason, the bike looks better in this photo than the others.

for mi the bike has twoo problems, fuel tank and side fairings, they will be easy to correct this if they want.

not a single decent line on this bike; not one area that i could say is aesthetically pleasing.

the SS is ugly and this thing is worse than ugly.

it actually looks far worse than the VFR it reminds me of.

D will win the ugliest superbike of the year prize.

(& of course the terrible fairing cutouts, one of which is there to expose a gorgeous black hose...smh)

I would hold of on judging the looks just yet. This picture is taken at a very unfortunate angle and the colors are over saturated as hell. Imo it will look far better in the official pictures.

While I don't love it in these pictures, I'm going to wait to see it in person before declaring it a massive mistake.

I agree....Also, this may look menacing in black.
My 2nd post. been lurking here as I was looking to get a panigale this year, but V4 news held me back.

If this were the official S bike getting ready for pics, wouldn't it have a hugger of some sort and carbon front fender?

I agree, although I am disappointed, but those engine covers, rear sets and rear sub frame look so incoherent and cheap. They can't change much

they need to redesign the nose, tighten up the lines, COVER the frame and tie in a new tail design -- basically, redo all the bodywork. (instead of bulging out, it needs to flow in towards the bike as in concave to the seat vs convex into ugly lines, etc.)

not rocket science. before it's too late.

problem is, the frame and subframe lines are off....

Is it me or does the engine bulge out further than the subframe? It looks like the rider's leg is going to rest directly against the head.

And why are the forks bent? Why is the front wheel not round? Your answer lies here:

This appears to me to be a pre production test bike being used to test accessories and body parts.
If you look closely you can see the mirror block offs near the windscreen. With the lack of carbon parts I think the bike is being fitted the base body work even though it is obviously a S model.

I agree... The wide angle camera lens does seem to throw off the lines somewhat. IMO All those crease lines in the body will look great with some multicolor theme paint work.. My only major complaint is the air / headlight cutouts are a bit too angular for my tastes.

I guess we will all find out what the final product looks like soon enough. I personally am pretty neutral on the design and am more disappointed with the engine. The Panigale's TQ delivery was always appealing and to be going to an engine that delivers I4 like tourqe at the top of the band is not something I look forward to.

I think this is a joke or tease by Ducati. Everyone , as in everyone says it's fugly. That means Ducati knows it's ugly.
Very much doubt they would release a awful looking bike like this.
I've heard the Suzuki is ugly, but this is on a whole new level of ugly and Ducati must be doing this to mess with us till the proper design is shown.
That's my 2 cents fwiw.

I can only imagine they are reading the forums and laughing.....

I had a thought today, and as i said elsewhere this afternoon, i smell a rat......

Initially i was convinced, but today i stood back, the bodyword lines / tones cant be the finished article. I think Ducati have some of us duped thus far. If im wrong fair enough, but my gut says the pics of the bike on the bench, are close, but not disco
