Amazingly capable machine but just so boring at anything less than race speeds.
I agree. Even at the track it was fat. But I'd love to own a HP4 Race but I'm broke to pay $80k for a track bike.

Agree~ but i guess that goes for all supersport bikes
No not really. BMW is more boring.
no way! never experienced with S1000RR be4. Can you elaborate on what your take is on bmw being more boring?
I won't go into it too much and bore you, In Australia BMW do an Invited track day once a year (they didn't do it this year) and you can take your bike and ride a selected BMW I always choose the latest S1000RR to ride, love the BMW but after you get off it and onto a Pani it all becomes clear.
Nothing wrong with the BMW but it aint a 90VEE or L which ever floats your boat.
I have never ridden the S1k, but my interpretation from people who's ridden both S1k and Pani is that the BMW is a solid, can't do wrong machine, while the Pani makes you .... your pants.
Does that explain 'boring'?

There a good reason why Superbike schools picked the S1000RR to fill their stable. Very much resemble the German design philosophy, no BS, functional approach.

yeah I rode their S1000RR at the school. BORING
Did you know British California Superbike schools have Ducati Panigale? How do you explain that?
no BS, Funtional approach with Italian beauty, emotions, and excitement?
