Not sure if I'm imagining it or it's already been mentioned but I thought I read that they are show casing the V4 at Misano this month??

I suspect you're going to see the same thing that they did for the Superquadro launch before the Panigale, bunch of hype for an engine by itself, and eventually they'll start taking about the bike it's going in. Ducati history tends to repeat itself very closely! ;)
 
I think a previous story on the upcoming V4 already confirmed that it was going to be a two part release. Big event about just the motor first. Then a few months later the bike will be shown completely another show.
 
I got sent a youtube two days ago which purports to be the bike being tested at a track. You hear the bike but do not see it and in the background people talking in Italian about it. Only goes for 25 seconds. Just sounds like a high performance race bike.
 
Once again that's the same video of a private GP test at Misano. Amazing how many outlets are getting that wrong. There is no way in hell the V4 will sound like an open-piped GP bike when it has to conform to Euro 4 standards.

That's a D16RR with 1199 headlight, 1198 side panel and an old V-Max exhaust photoshopped onto it... I sincerely hope the Ducati designers have put more effort into the final product...
 
Can't wait to see her in person. More importantly, can't wait for the former McLaren Engineer to chime in on his new build thread, along with Tye 1863

It's gonna be 2013 all over again!
 
Dear baby jesus.......please don't let Tye' ever get another Ducati. Last I heard he hung up riding for good though. Wasn't even doing dirt anymore after his massive buildup about finally racing an MX race which he promptly quit halfway through without finishing.

i really like the full fairing look, wouldn't mind if the '18 looks like that.
