Who's got the latest scoop on the R arrival in the states?

Me take pictures? Anyone who knows me understands how much I despise taking pictures of Ducatis. ;)

But if I just so happen to snap a few I'll post 'em here when I return. Real-time tweets will be at https://twitter.com/Adventure1199. I'll bring my gopro, too. The invitation to the 1199R launch was Ducati's demonstration of appreciation for my coast to coast R/R.

I guess I just have to "only" ride around my Panigale 1,324,459 miles and maybe I get invited too?:D

Imho

I know the R is the latest and greatest, has alot more HP and some cool additions that make it a "little" different, but to me I do not see anything about this bike which drives me to the point of selling my Tri (and everything I dumped into it) to get this machine.

I am NOT saying anything derogatory about it, nor anyone who chooses to sell their current 1199 to obtain this! So dont go slamming me here fellow members. I just dont personally see anything in/on this bike worth the price and effort to be a "must have!" Granted, the Ti rods and internal components are what makes the engine so sweet, but will openly admit I will never ride the current engine and bike to the fullest of my ability. :D

Looking fwd to reports from the membership on how it feels once they get their leg over it and some open road! Best of luck to you all guys!

My dealer told me that they are scheduled to be delivered by the end of March, but knowing Ducati it will more likely be the end of April. That's just my guess, I honestly have no idea and no insider info.

I will be there. :) It's unclear if I will get a chance to ride one of the Rs, but Ducati has instructed me to bring my leathers and helmet, just in case.

Happy you're being recognized! I just turned over 622mi and my RPM's changed color. They invited me to buy a sprocket.

This photo is taken at my dealership. The second one is my R. Waiting for the race parts to be installed like full Termis, higher windscreen, carbon tank protector and carbon license plate holder. Delivery this coming Saturday if weather is reasonable.

I think the seat looks the same. I saw no Ducati Performance logo stamped in the suede leather comparing to the seat I had on my S.

just curious if you know the seat is different to the current race seat.

No, it's the Ducati Performance Racing Seat, same one that's been available since the Panigale came out last year.

Well, except that the DP logo is not stamped in the suede anymore. Only difference I could see comparing to my DP race seat on the S.

Gotta give it up to AntiHero for doing it and sharing the entire experience with us on the board. It's awesome that you are going........Cheers!

The R seat looks alot lower with same fabric as race seat.
Can someone confirm this i need s lower seat the current race seat.

I think you are correct. I looked at the raceseat I had on my S. The area where the front bolthole is, is much deeper. The fabric and foam is higher in that area. I remember that because when I tried to use the original bolt it was too short. Looking at the R seat it is different and indeed lower. Not sure if I will be getting a DP race seat also with the bike or this is it.
