Why did Ducati change the Panigale V4R one week before release?

where are all the CakeBakers that can build better ones themselves ?

you know who you are !
Not only build one but build it for $45k.

So the going logic here is that if you don't like elements of a design, be it paint scheme, exhaust routing, fantastic oil claims etc., you are thereby challenged to design, engineer and build a fully homologated race bike on your own, for $45K.

Seems reasonable.

Ducati gives us more of everything someone could want, and the criticism follows

Anyone check with the other mfgr's lately

Heavy criticism because we're passionate about the subject. Personally when I see the price move into the territory it's going, which I think makes sense in someways and not in other ways, I want to see an even attention to detail that commands such a price hike. The bike is a dream. It's unimaginable from 10 years ago to arrive to this.
That said, the price of the exhaust to me is laughable. Then it looks like that as well. You've go to be kidding. Though I do see them on pro bikes. They sound fking amazing. They just don't fking look like $7k, not even close, and they don't fit the design as a package. Again, at this price range, from this brand, I expect way more.

Let's see what Termignoni comes up with.

the similar wheel barrow exhaust on the pro bikes is bigger and different its evo 2 not the same as the off the shelf thing.... for your 7K

In regards to the +4 hp through the special oil, I believe it. One of the benefits of running a dry clutch is that you don’t have to worry about additives contaminating the clutch. You can run a slicker less viscous oil to take advantage of the gun drilled pistons. Less friction = more power. If I was a racing team and saw +4 hp from a special oil (that I didn’t have to spend money to develop) I’d be really interested. Rea probably threw a tantrum when heard this.

So this special oil will give a power increase to any Ducati with a dry clutch or it's the pistons that make this viable?

Makes me want to start a racing exhaust company. I just have to remember to laser etch the word "titanium" on a few parts and I'll be making tubes for $8k a package.
Wait, what was it 3 years ago $3-4k, then last year was $5-6k, now we're past $7k. Next year? Who says $9-10k? This is way better than crypto. When will we'll we get to a fifth of the cost of the bike is the ti tubes? hahahaa

This is what happens when there’s no competition in the marketplace. Akra is way too dominant and buddy buddy w Ducati

Agreed. I think it’s Akra’s relationship with Ducati that has mostly driven cost - as the only aftermarket exhaust a buyer can roll into vehicle financing AND not void the manufacturer warranty, they’ve got a near monopoly.

Regarding competition, it’s not that there aren’t other choices - it’s just that they can’t compete with Akra because they aren’t “Ducati approved”.

That seems questionably legal. Where's my lawyer? Ok to fund our new racing exhaust company, we'll start an anti-trust class action suit and stay open to a settlement with a Ducati contract, and ours won't look like ass.
